Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWhile we were expecting traditional beds, they were about as thin as a comforter on a hard wood floor. It was a very tough two nights of sleep because of our fragile American bodies, but well worth it for the beauty, serene surroundings, and all else. If you’ve ever been camping, you know that the first night is always the hardest. Second night was a better night of sleep. We are also adjusting to the bathrooms with the shower attached to the sink.
We were amazed at the beauty of the location and place. The owner, Mimi, was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond with our needs.

SingaporeBasically you sleep on the floor with futons so it’s not the most comfortable.
Property is about 20 mins away by bus from the nearest metro station, followed by ~5 mins walk in. It’s an old style Korean house so the architecture is very interesting. The lady owner is very nice and gave us some hanboks to wear and even took pics for us. She also taught my daughters to play her Korean string instrument very briefly.

MalaysiaThe location is just less than an hour from city via bus. Liked it very much as it's not crowded thus it's quiet. The hostess was very warm and friendly. She recommended to us some places we should visit and local food eateries. She even prepared breakfast for us. She also offered us to use her hanbok for the full experience but we've already made rental booking at the tourist office nearby. However, we went back to her place and took lots of beautiful pictures at her place.

SingaporeMimi was such a wonderful host! She made delicious breakfast for us, even at short notice when we decided to go hiking early the next morning. Full amenities were provided including all the toiletries you would need, incl. for kids. She also lent us her hanboks so we could take pretty pictures with the beautiful mountains just outside! It was a wonderful experience overall, highly recommend! Just a note, our living area is on the 2nd floor so you'll need to carry your luggage up.

Everything was clean, the hanok was beautiful, and Mimi was the best host I've ever had in my life! My friend and I (both 23 year old guys) were blown away by the hospitality. Thank you Mimi!

NorwayThere is nothing to complain about.
The second you get to the village itself, it feels like you are brought back to a different time with all the traditional-looking houses in the village, despite there being asphalt roads and a CVS close by(which is a good thing of course)! Seeing the mountains in the background is such a captivating image that will stick with me for a long time, this captivating feeling is just multiplied a lot when you enter the accommodation. We were welcomed by the hostess when we arrived, and she is a very kind and welcoming person, even if you have never stayed at such an accommodation before, you will feel at home at once. It is quite spacious if you are a couple travelling, but I would say it's very comfortable. All the amenities are in good quality and very practical, and overall the place is very quiet and calming place. After being shown around by the hostess and stepping out, we were recommended some places to go and things to see, like the 진관사(Jingwansa Temple), and it was so lovely! There is also lots of trails leading to hiking the mountains, though we did not do so. In the mornings we were greeted with the hostess making us a delicious breakfast featuring all delicious things as fruits, fresh sandwiches, salads and homemade traditional Korean soups, these were all delicious (especially the peanut soup 😉). Going back to speaking of being brought back to a different time, some might still sleep on the floor like this, but as a foreigner it felt very authentic sleeping on the floor like this. It might be a bit hard for some people's backs, but there are numerous of futons and different types if you prefer something softer! You can also try hanbok and a traditional instrument! There were numerous images and prizes on display in the library/living room which I assume is dedicated to the accommodation, and I can do nothing but vouch for it and agree with it. Overall, just a great stay and a very great time, can only recommend it!

BelgiumAn amazing experience in traditional hanok. The host lady was very nice, thanks to her we have a lot of photos from our stay, we even tried playing the traditional Korean musical instrument gayageum. The location is an ideal starting point for hiking in Bukhasan National Park, for which you get a perfect breakfast as a base. We even got an energy drink from our host lady for the hike!

United KingdomJust the pillows!
Mimi the host was really friendly, was able to communicate clearly to us as well. She’s got a lovely set up there, the surrounding area was so peaceful and tranquil as well. The temple and village were really relaxing. It’s also near a cafe called 1 cup which is a viral place now, personally felt it was overhyped. Other than the pillows in the Hanok I had no complaints at all.
