The hotel is clean and tidy, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The room has bunk beds, which are very comfortable. There's also a shared kitchen on the floor, which is very convenient. It's located near Dongdaemun History Park Station, which connects to Lines 2, 4, and 5, making it very convenient for exploring other areas.

During my recent stay at Mangrove Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it blended comfort, functionality, and community. The highlight was the cozy bunk bed that offered both privacy and restful sleep. I spent time at the clean and quiet workstation, which was perfect for studying and getting focused work done. The library area, filled with books ranging from art to literature, created a warm and inspiring atmosphere. Although I didn’t get a chance to use the shared kitchen this time, it was fully equipped with induction cooktops, microwaves, and even an air fryer—perfect for cooking your own meals. The laundry room and self-service store stocked with snacks and daily necessities made long stays incredibly convenient. Mangrove isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a thoughtfully designed space that supports both productivity and relaxation. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to explore even more of what it offers.

The lift is a bit slow. You may have to wait a while to get upstairs. There is a luggage storage room but it is too small that it is always full and hard to find the luggage when I return.

2nd time staying in this place, however it is always fully booked. Location is great. The room is clean and have a lot of space for small personal items. Public area is clean and tidy.

The room was smaller, but i think that's normal for Seoul! It didn't affect my experience.

Nice and clean! Enjoyed my stay, it was comfortable with plenty of storage and curtains added a touch of privacy. Great location and easy to get in and out. Wouldn't say it's a social hostel but i still enjoyed it.

Less human touch, and if travellers need help, there are a bit inconvenient and can ask for help from the front desk.

The hostel is stylist and clean, although not much service from the hostel, but overall, the self check in and check out are quite user-friendly. The room is not big, but it's just good to have everything inside the room. Very quiet at night, and the bed is very comfy.

No staff interaction which kinda sad somehow and the price is high so 1 or 2 nights to explore is fine. Otherwise, it is not a very good choice for longer stays and prices seem kinda very high when I book.

Room is small maybe very small but nice and clean. The building is also long term rental so there are working space and laundry at the basement which are kinda nice also gym. Location is good, 3-5 min walk from Dongdaemun design plaza and Line 2 subway

2nd time staying here at Mangrove Dongdaemun, it is always clean and very close to the attraction, walk around the corner and you are in a street with many shops and street foods outside. At night it is even better, walking to DDP. The room was big and got a view to the city and Namsan Tower it was amazing. The rooftop views are even better. Will definitely be staying here again next time I am in Seoul.

No personal touch with the staff as it’s all automated.

The nearest train station is less than 5mins away from the hotel! Bonus points for the clean kitchen area and the free washing machine and dryer. Managed to wash all my clothes prior to departure.

Its a new building (or maybe newly renovated), so its modern and clean. The communal spaces are very nice. Very close to public transporation (bus stops less than a minute walk, and 5 min walk to the subway). Convenient as well since there is a luggage room if you arrived before check in time. All of the check in & check out was done through a QR code so there was no hassle. All in all a very nice experience.

I like the convienence and the location especially for airport bus. There are a few convienence stores nearby. The single room is consider spacious to me and lots of storage of my shopping. The washing machine are free and there is open kitchen is great for anyone to use.

The room does not have a refrigerator, so you need to go to the kitchen (located on a separate floor) in case you buy small cartons of milk / drink. There are not much restaurants nearby that opens late (only 2 convenience stores) compared to Hongdae / Myeongdong.

Great location, walking distance to metro station which has 3 lines. Room is clean and tidy. Everything is self-served from check-in / check-out / luggage storage / parcel pickup. They allow me to send parcels to their mailroom before my arrival and I am able to find it easily myself.
