Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MalaysiaRoom is quite small for family and may not be soundproofed. Very little space to hang clothes. Hotel staff may not be very flexible but they are polite and friendly. There is also no stirrer or spoon in the room and there were some strands of hair found in the bathroom but they were cleaned out subsequently by housekeeping. There is also not enough electric plug points if you are travelling with family. Other than these everything is good!
The hotel is a no-frills but decent and comfortable hotel. Really good for solo or duet travellers but may not be so for family with young children. Generally clean and everything seems to work (shower, aircond, blinds etc). The location is good. To the right and left of the hotel there are many 24-hour convenient stores and also within walking distance to the right an eatery that serves hot meals 24 hour at an affordable price. There is a subway station Yangjae within 5 mins walk and 15-20mins walk to the main shopping area of Gangnam. Plenty of restaurants behind the hotel or about 10 to 20 mins walk around the vicinity. I love how they have a weighing machine for your luggage! Really nice and practical if you’re in Seoul for shopping.

ItalyThe air-conditioning air flow is fixed to go to the bed heads. I get allergies and headaches when I have the airflow directed on my head and had to sleep without air-conditioning with more than 35 degrees Celsius and very high humidity thus waking up full of sweat. The bathroom mirror has very poor lighting and is not easy to so it is difficult to properly put makeup on. There is no full body mirror in the room.
Friendly staff, very clean hotel, convenient position in Gagnam very near the metro station. Easily accessible from Incheon Airport with a comfortable limousine bus.

CanadaIt was a very small room for three people ... very. The bathroom wall was a large window so if you wanted the light on it would also light up the room where the others were sleeping. Personally, I didn't find the bed or pillow comfortable.
It was in a good location close to the subway. There was also lots of great restaurants around the hotel, not to mention a Karaoke on every corner!

AustraliaThere wasn't anything which we didn't like. It's only a wish - we wished that there were English breakfast tea sachets available in the room. 🙂
My preferred accommodation in Seoul is Hotel Peyto which is due to the convenience of the location. It's very near Yangjae station - about a 3 minute walk to Exits 1 and 2. It's very near Gangnam - only one stop away in the Shinbundang metro line. There are plenty of buses which stop opposite the hotel. There are few banks near the hotel where AUD could be changed. The rooms are small and compact but have the necessities within the small space. The 6009 airport bus, stops opposite the hotel and it's so convenient to get to Incheon airport in Seoul which costs 17,000 krw. As our flight was in the night, we made use of the late check out option for 11,000 krw per hour. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby including a KFC which is about 10 minutes away by foot.

United StatesSmall rooms
This is a very well run hotel. While the rooms are small, I believe this is par for the course in downtown Seoul. The staff were friendly and they have a good breakfast spread. The location is nice, just a short walk to the subway. There is a gym close by that charges $15US for a day pass. Laundry machine on site is a big plus for someone who is staying for a long period like me. This hotel caters to business travelers, but I found it very suitable for vacationers.

AustraliaPricing is a bit expensive for the location + service. I wish it is a bit cheaper to make a come-back stay worth it.
Room is clean but I do not remember about the view. Location is pretty good, not in the centre of Gangnam but I enjoy walking from the Gangnam station to the hotel. All in all, I have a pleasant time there.

SingaporeThe wardrobe was not a real wardrobe but just a space behind a sliding panel. The staff were efficient but not friendly. I arranged for late checkout the night before but at checkout time the desk called and did not know about my late checkout arrangement.
