Reviews of The Ritz-Carlton, Astana 5 stars

I don’t like anything in this hotel after having and argument with the manager Arman - a young manager at the counter with no experience in customer service for his lack of communication with customers. According to hotel’s policy we are not clients but guests therefore the treatment is like a one-day passersby. I have stayed at Ritz Almaty and Astana and was a regular of Marriot chain but now NEVER will I ever stay at this chain as now realized what they think of their customers - just guests. Don’t ever entrust your belongings or envelopes to the reception as they said they destroy them if no one claims them after 2 days. We are flying the next day and someone was supposed to collect an envelope eventually they agreed to help but I decided to entrust an envelope with an acquaintance rather than staff at reception. No trust at all—Arman was having a laugh the whole conversation saying “the high level manager isn’t available go ahead and complaint the next morning now you can’t do it and such.” The tone of the manager was so condescending I have never seen anything like this before at similar or lower priced hotels. How is he a manager at a five-star hotel is beyond my comprehension. Don’t waste your money just choose St Regis or Hilton in Astana.

I wish they treated their guests as they call us with more respect it was a small favor but escalated to a disgusting argument and as for me not willing to help their “guests”. In all other hotels even not as expensive the staff always tried to find ways to resolve their customer needs and help out. Not at this hotel!

Pretty much everything. But the biggest highlight has to be the staff, they met our every need and went way above and beyond to make the experience perfect.

This is a proper Ritz Carlton the way it should be. A new building in the center of the city with everything one could want. If you can afford it, then you should stay with that hotel.

Perfect place where i feeled cared and welcomed

I think this is a top hotel in Astana. The staff is friendly, everything is new and clean.

My room was on the 5th floor 508. And if you open the window it smells strongly of food and the kitchen, since the exhaust vents from the restaurant were almost under my windows. Take a higher floor.

It was a fine hotel centrally located.
