“We had the most amazing time at the Vera Sunset Homestay. Phonephet and his family are very friendly and the island is perfect for a few days off the beaten path. You can just relax in your hammock all day or explore the rural island and play football with the village kids. The food was very good and fresh. The standard of the bungalows is basic and in line with the price.

“Location is a stunner. Right on the river, perfect for a relaxing time on Don Kong/Det. Staff were very lovely and have bicycles to rent for cheap which is the perfect way to get around. It was crazy hot when we stayed and the fan didn’t quite cut the mustard, can’t blame them for that though. I would say the bathrooms are basic and can get a little dirty after a few days. This is absolutely passable for the price you pay however!”
