We wanted a room with a view of the Mekong River and with that intention we picked a room with a wrap around porch. The only view we had was of other buildings in the hotel complex. Additionally it took us a day to figure out the hot tub faucet was reversed, the cold water was hot and the hot water cold.

The noise. The hotel is supposed to be in a tranquil location at the end of the peninsula. But sadly, Luang Prabang is over run with Chinese tourists. The dreadful, extremely loud karaoke boats on the Mekong mean that you are tortured by tone deaf warbling wannabe singers all afternoon and evening, and the plethora of minivans means that they keep parking outside the hotel with their engines running, waiting to pick up all these tourists. So it is impossible to relax on the balcony of your room and enjoy the peace and serenity. That has all gone now. It's very sad, and not the hotel's fault (although I think they could do something about the vans parking outside).

This is a lovely hotel with delightful old style rooms and very helpful friendly staff, with a breakfast cafe in an unbelievably wonderful location.

The Hotel is perfectly situated by the Mekong River, with a view towards the river from the room. The restaurant sits by the the river, so we enjoyed breakfast and drinks in the evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There were mosquitoes in the room one night, the hotel could provide anti mosquito plug-in devices or a mosquito net over the bed. I cannot not like the free minibar given the heat, just suggesting that instead of 4 daily cans of coke and pepsi, it would be nice to have the zero sugar versions and maybe vary with a juice or two..

Beautiful, old quarters-like hotel, shiny dark wooden floors and antique furniture. Very comfortable bed with a remote to choose angles. Balcony with a rattan table and armchairs facing the Mekong promises many magical moments. Everyone was very kind, thoughtful, and caring, doing everything they could to make the stay flawless - didnt even need to ask, they had already done it! Service at its best.

Although the design and decor of the room is superb, the sheer curtains are not suitable, there should be black out blinds. Also the shower tiling is showing its age. And a sink instead of a urinal in the separate wc would make it 100% perfect 👍

Take your laundry to a local place that is just down the road. In house is $5 USD per kg which is 3-4 times more than anywhere else.

Breakfast, location, staff and the room are all perfect. The whole hotel feels like the honeymoon suite. Our balcony overlooked the river and the beds were so comfortable.. Very quiet and peaceful location. We visited in early Feb and there were no bugs. We never even needed spray near the river. Highly recommend

Our room had a great view of the mekong river and we could see the sunset from our balcony. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They helped pick out good drivers for our trip to the Kuang Si waterfall and our sunset viewing cruise on the mekong river. The hotel room itself had a really nice rustic vibe without sacrificing any cleanliness and had a great adjustable bed 😁. 10/10 would come again.

Everything was fine, but you can tell that the room has seen some better days. It was clean generally, but the bathroom was full of mosquitos. The hotel staff gave us mosquito spray (after which we couldn't enter the bathroom for a while because of the toxins) and there was barely a place to step, because it turned into a mosquito graveyard basically.

Location is great, staff is super helpful and the shuttle service really convenient. Nothing beats the views at breakfast (which is good, too). Overall a good stay.
