The walls were quite thin, so we could hear our neighbors brushing their teeth or even breathing loudly at night, which was a bit disruptive. Additionally, the location was a bit further from the small restaurants on the island, so it required a longer walk to get there.

appreciated the tranquility of the place. The little hammocks offered a beautiful view of the island’s sunset, which was a perfect way to unwind.

Peaceful room on the sunset side of the island. The Aircon cooled the room very quickly. Easy to get to the main areas from there and many nearby restaurants. Hammocks outside the rooms

Well located, about 5mn from the "center town" of Don Det. Friendly staff, they rent bikes 30.000 The family run a restaurant near the guesthouse. You can enjoy a breakfast or a good dinner. Correct prices. Quiet place to rest, clean room, hot water.

Very basic but nice bungalow. The bed was comfy and the fan was strong.

There was no air con (I don’t think many places have air con in Don Det) but there was a fan which helped at night.

Really nice location by the river with lots of restaurant and bar options nearby and a short walk/cycle to the main street or to a river beach. They offer bicycles to rent here which was very helpful. The staff were friendly and the bungalow was very nice.

A bit distant from town center. But one can rent a bicycle for 2k Kip day and it helps out.

Way overpriced for what it is. At least, the booking.com price. I extended my stay and paid the walk-in price for the extra day, which is much more reasonable. The mosquito net is useless since it's full of big holes. Since it's a rustic bungalow, mosquitos have no problem getting in. Every morning, I woke up with more mosquito bites. In a malaria risky area. Not nice. The bathroom floor is always wet and quickly becomes a mess since the drain goes directly to the floor.

Very big and comfortable bed. A hammock in the porch for each room. Staff.

Maybe the area is a bit too far away from the pier. The neighbourhood is not safe. There was a man opening the window cover next to my door at night. Luckily I woke up before he could enter my room. The next day I told the owner but he didn't seem surprised. Just told me there are not good people in the neighbouthood. He should change the inner locks of the doors. 2 days later a girl next door got robbed while she was sleeping. The guy only took her money. But it is really scary for a solo travelling woman. There is also an empty building next to the rooms where children start playing in the early morning. So it can get quite noisy. The owner's english is not good. I asked if I could pay with credit card the first day and he said yes. At the day I left he asked for cash and I had to get money from a place next to the pier with 4% of fee. I don't know about the food. The breakfast was ok. The bread tasted a bit old.

The accomodation is located in a quiet area. It has a huge balcony with hammocks.

You can get a better room closer to the centre with air conditioning for less money but then this is because the walk-in price varies significantly from what I paid. Not much English spoken by family so sometimes difficuktto communicate issues.

Nice quiet location overlooking river. Refillable drinking water. Friendly family who run the place and excellent food in the restaurant they also run next door which is great value.

Could hear both neighbours pee, cough or even listening to you tube on their phone The loudest nights I have had during my 3 weeks in Laos not only the lound music some nights despite being more than 1/2 k from the centre but also from the loudest frog songs on the side of the Mekong. Where we were there was no water so that's where the frogs live and sing at night. No soap provided

Everything was clean and nice! Big room with a big nice bed :) it's definitely worth the money and you can see a breathtaking sunset every night from the terrace!
