Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesDont book it with Breakfast, its horrible. Staff not friendly and not helpful, once we arrived the hotel they asked to open our luggage to check it, which was a BIG NO, what ever the reason you can not just ask a tourist to check my luggage. They upgraded our villa to villa with a private pool. it’s not a pool actually, it’s a 1 meter square and extremely dirty. Staff on pool are not helpful and you have to ask like 5 times to bring towels or anything. Whats really frustrating, the first row sunbeds are paid LOL, i have to pay 20 USD extra to sit in front of the pool which is completely ridiculous. Also why do i have to pay for parking if i’m a guest in the hotel. You can just go there for a day use (pool + beach) then leave , i don’t recommend staying in the hotel.
- very good for families and kids friendly, - big pools and well maintained and clean, beach is surprisingly good and clean too not like Beirut

United Arab Emiratesthe rooms and sun beds can use sooooo much touch ups, new products, better cleaning etc… which is the owenrs/higher manager issue not that of the staff.
The location, the views, and greenery in Pangea has always been great and still is. Not all staff members are hospitality trained but the few who are, especially their manager Nour, do make up for it, a lot! Nour is particularly polite, helpful, smart and professional. Another amazing thing is the food this year, both the resto and room service, everything we tried was super tasty and we ended up staying another night, so in total we tried around 8 different items. Recommended.

LebanonPangea is not an inclusive beach resort with staff of backward mindset! I came from Canada with my husband on vacation and was wearing a bikini with a mini skirt attached to it, and I got a useless comment from the receptionist telling me to remove the ATTACHED skirt, saying only bikinis with little to no civerage are allowed! Would not go back to Pangea because of the lack of acceptance from the staff and management. Be more respectful of the diverse cultures in Lebanon and people's preferences (if they want to wear a bikini then great! If they want to cover more, then let them!). Maybe if you become more inclusive, I would recommend the resort to friends and family. Until then, no thank you.
We stayed at one of the newly renovated chalets, and it was super clean and comfortable.

LebanonI booked for a villa where we are only limited to bringing snacks. I brought a steamer so that I can prepare the steamed food that is required for my wife & kids but I was not allowed. We are only allowed to order food from the restaurant which were very limited and pricy. We were not allowed to bring fruits. I paid 500$ per night for the villa so that i have the comfort to bring food that i can prepare inside the villa but we were not allowed. There is a refrigerator in the villa but I could not fill it up except for drinks & water. I would have really appreciated that such restrictions for customers taking the villa could have been given exceptions. Our second night, we went out of the resort and went home (30min drive only) just to have our family dinner and then went back to the resort after.
Breakfast was great and my kids loved the kids pool area. The ambience was very nice and the pool & restaurant staff where amazing

AustriaHere is why i gave it a bad rating and would never go there again. I booked a 2 bedroom villa for me and my family. What the pictures don't show is that access to the 2nd bedroom is from the outside of the villa and up the stairs. So if you have kids, they either take the main floor down or the 2nd bedroom upstairs with external access to it and a different key. The upper bedroom is open to the low floor, with no rails to protect the kids since we have a 5 year old. This was always worriesome for us. When we first arrived, we were greeted by a list of ridiculous rules that were not communicated beforehand. Rules such as we are not allowed to bring food from outside, and they will add a surchage per sandwich ordered from outside. In addition to that, if we bring any alcohol bottles from outside, there is an additional high amount surchaged on it. While this makes sense if one is visiting the resort for a day pass, it doesn't make sense for someone who rented a villa for a longer stay. The restaurant had good food but was highly overpriced. Initially, we booked for 2 days. Once we reached our Villa, we noticed it was badly maintained, and a lot of things are not working. The sink was clogged, the Wifi didn't work in the room, and there was no water inside it. I complained and asked the staff to fix it while i take the kids to the pool. After we got back, we were informed that they would change our Villa to another one. The current one had a side sitting area, and the new one didn't have it but had an outdoor jaccuzzi on the top floor. When we entered the room, this one had water st least but it had so many problems: Wifi was not working, small refrigerator was not working, we had no outdoor table, the AC shuts down when the electricity goes off( as is normal in lebanon) but doesn't restart on its own when it comes back on so i woke up several times in the middle of the night sweating to turn it back on.
The area was very clean, the staff were very helpful, the pool and the beach were great

United KingdomPlenty of issues with the room. The WiFi did not work and the staff were unhelpful about that. The shower curtain fell, the shower head split apart, the sink was blocked and the TV was very very old. Very poor maintenance which is a shame as we paid a pretty expensive nightly rate to stay there. I would only stay there again if it was a third of the price per night.
Breakfast and pool facilities were good.
