We understand that the villa size and bed dimensions did not suit your needs, and we are sorry for any inconvenience this caused during your visit. For clarity, the bed in the unit is a standard size bed with a length of 80 inches but is 6 inches narrower in width than a queen bed. This detail is listed on our Booking.com page to help guests make informed decisions prior to booking. Regarding the pictures of the villa, we want to assure you that they are accurately listed on Booking.com. We have reviewed them again since you raised this concern, and they are up-to-date and reflective of the property. As for the accessibility of our location, we do recommend all our guests rent a vehicle for ease of travel. This recommendation is mentioned in many previous reviews and is something we strongly encourage future guests to consider when planning their visit. Regarding your request for a refund, we respectfully adhere to our cancellation policy, which allows free cancellation up to 42 days before arrival. Cancellations made within 42 days are charged the total price of the reservation, as stated during the booking process. We regret that we could not accommodate your request, but we hope for your understanding of our policies. Dear Gemma, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I see that the things you mentioned have now changed since we spoke over the phone. You have now included the cleanliness of the property as an issue, however during our many discussions this was never mentioned to me, my husband or our property manager. The only issues you mentioned to my husband when he was onsite, was the landscaper & workers being on site and a spare sheet in the closet not folded properly. While feedback from our guest is invaluable to us as it helps us identify areas for improvement, the majority of what you stated in your review is inaccurate. We did give you the opportunity to leave the premises with a refund, however you declined the offer and choose to stay. So I am not sure what more we could have done to accommodate you? Concerning your feeling unsafe due to persons arriving on property. Our property is fully fenced and gated. The gate is electronically controlled, so the only way to access the property is via entry code, a key fob , or remote access which we control. Referring to the workers as half naked men walking on the property is a gross over exaggeration. One of the men you refer to is the landscaper who has access to maintain the grounds, and the other 2 were construction workers who were on site to work on the construction of a new apartment. These men you refer to as threating to your children are just hard working St. Lucian men trying to earn a honest living. I'm sorry you felt threated by them. Although, I'm not surprised because your own review paints a true reflection of your thoughts regarding the locals. I find that a bit shocking giving that you are a St Lucian also. Its quit unfortunate that you failed to mention in your review how condescending and disrespectful you were to me and our employees. Unfourtantly due to the age of the house and it has wood floors the sound proofing we have done to date is the best we have been able to do.
