How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewOverall, my stay at Paradise Cove was enjoyable. The host was exceptionally helpful and responsive, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free. The apartment itself was clean, well-maintained, and offered a comfortable base for my trip. The location is fantastic—it's just a short distance from both Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island, so you're close to plenty of restaurants, shops, and beautiful beaches. Despite this, the positives definitely outweighed the negatives. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy, well-located spot near the attractions of Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island! The property is ve
The only downside to the stay was the water pressure in the shower. It was a bit weak, which made for less than ideal showering conditions. Additionally, the hot water seemed to be reliant on solar energy, and unfortunately, we didn’t have much sun during our stay. As a result, there were times when the water was lukewarm at best. If you plan to visit during a cloudy or rainy period, it's something to keep in mind.

Verified reviewWe picked this location because it offered air conditioning. We traveled a long way and were very tired and wanted to sleep and unfortunately the air conditioner in our room did not work. We did NOT sleep well and our vacation did not start off on a good footing. The host then said to me, I am Getman and we don’t need AC which I responded that I am American and I do. We are not used to sleeping in heat and humidity. Very disappointed as we have stayed here several times.
Hi Michelle, Thank you for taking the time to write the review. I do not mind the 5 for staff, although I ordered pizza for your group and gave you all drinks for free. As soon as you mentioned that the AC was not working (our American guests, who were in the apartment before you checked in, did not complain), Mark called a technician who arrived 2 hours later. Unfortunately all lights were off and we could not enter the apartment. I am sure your daughter told you that the AC was working perfect, when she stayed on property 2 days later. It was the first time that guests (your daughter) left the property without having paid. For 3 days I had to try to contact you to get the payment done. All the best for you.

Verified reviewBreakfast is not included, however there is a fully furnished kitchen. The location was a perfect balance between land and sea. The view of nature was expectional. Watching the sunrise and set was awesome.

Verified reviewAbsolutely lovely apartment with a fantastic view looking towards Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island. Both bedrooms had air conditioning and there is a big balcony to enjoy the outdoor space. The pool was also a highlight. Hosts were friendly and very helpful to any requests. Just to note, if you are renting a car, I would recommend getting an suv/large vehicle given how hilly the roads are leading to the property.

Verified reviewSuch a spacious apartment with a lovely pool area which we had to ourselves most of the time. Mark was super helpful with any issues including sorting our car hire drop off. We really enjoyed it here.
One shower didn’t work so well in our apartment but could be an easy fix - we didn’t mention it as there was a second shower which worked well

Verified reviewThe balcony and fantastic views over Rodney Bay, the spaciousness and en-suite bathrooms and well-equipped kitchen. The pool was wonderful and we always had it to ourselves. Mark (our host) was absolutely fantastic, bringing us fresh coconuts everyday, always helping with all of our needs, arranging our taxis, found us a local place that delivered local food to us of an evening, and simply made our stay easy and fun.
An easy walk down the hill to the marina - coming back up was a lot more of a challenge!

Verified reviewCheck in process was very smooth. I told Angelika a day before our arrival that after landing we would be travelling by airport taxi and she messaged back very soon after to ask me to let the taxi driver call her once we were close to the apartment. Once we arrived at the apartment, Angelika's staff came to greet us and helped carry our suitcases into our apartment. Angelika also came to greet us in person which was very nice of her to do so. Apartment itself was extremelt spacious for the 2 of us so we were very happy with the size. Two big bedrooms for each of us which was great for personal space and a massive king size bed in each room which came with ensuite bathrooms. Shower worked very well, plenty of hot water. Both rooms have balconies attached to them and the view looking towards the sea was amazing. We were on the ground floor so the sea wasn't as clear so if you want, you could try requesting one of the upstairs apartments, although I think you do need to pay more. Kitchen has lots of facilities available including a microwave, induction stoves, fridge, a toaster and a kettle. Just remember to buy oil and condiments as these aren't provided. Angelika did give us two local beers and two bottles of water for free which was again very nice of her to do so. We joined different tours every day and Angelika was always happy to provide driving directions for the taxis and vans to come pick us up. This was very useful given how hidden the apartment can be if you aren't local to the area in Rodney Bay.
Wifi cuts out as soon as you go inside the bedroom, only closer to the bathroom do you get it. Reception is best in the living room next to the router and TV. Location isn't the best if you want to go to the beach as it's not as close to the marina as it looks on Google Maps. This is because Google Maps doesn't show the altitude of a place, so we only realised how hilly the area was when we arrived. The apartment is located on a steep hill so only taxis and small cars can go up. There were a few days we had to walk down to the main road for the tour operator's van to pick us up which wasn't the most convenient. So if you want seamless experience with tours and excursions, better go for resorts and hotels to save the hassle. Not the best location if you don't plan hire a car. It's hard to walk anywhere so we took taxis every day to the beaches, restaurants and supermarkets.
