“Staff are lovely. Very good value. It's worth paying a little extra for a better room with a view. Food is excellent; breakfast is enormous.”

  • Trinish homestay Review score: 8.4

“Great location right next to the train station of Hatton”

  • Grand Argyle Resort Review score: 9

“Probably the best value for money we found in Sri Lanka. The staff were super friendly and the manager went out of his way to welcome us and help us with our daily trips. We stayed with a toddler and the king suite on the ground floor was a great choice - plenty of green grass to run around barefoot. Good breakfast, excellent rice and curry! Look for the fireflies in the evening!”

  • Camellia Hills Review score: 9.1

“Great and authentic location with stunning views across the tea plantation and reservoir. Service was exceptional and felt very personalised. Special mention to Savindhu, Upul and Manoj. Food very good, everything was fresh and tasty.”

  • Tea Hills Lake Review score: 9.6

“We enjoyed our stay in Tea Hills Lake. Lovely comfortable rooms and beautiful views. Staff so warm and welcoming, so hardworking with one member in particular, felt like he was never off duty. He even got up at 3am to help 2 of our party set off to climb Adams Peak armed with flash lights and packed lunches. Up early overseeing breakfast and checkouts showing a passion for his trade that was admirable. Lovely welcome flowers and present a nice touch.”

  • Greenfield Bedz Review score: 8.4

  • Walauwa on the hill Review score: 8.7

“I really enjoyed my stay at Waluawa on the Hill. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and felt at home. It was a home from home. Chinthaka was an incredible host and an amazing cook! He made delicious curries and when I shared that my favourite Sri Lankan breakfast is pol rotti, pol sambol & Dahl........that's what he made. It was the best brekkie I had in my month in Sri Lanka. One day, I asked if I could have dosai for dinner. Nadesh made the dosai and that was a delicious meal too. I will definitely return to Walauwa on the Hill recommend this haven to friends 💚”

  • Tea Queens Bungalow Review score: 8.9

“I had a beautiful and memorable stay at Tea Queens Bungalow for one night. The bungalow itself is wonderful, with rooms that are extremely comfortable, spacious, and impeccably clean. The surroundings are stunning—nestled amidst lush green tea plantations and serene nature, offering a peaceful and refreshing environment. The food was excellent—freshly prepared, delicious, and full of local flavours.Every meal added to the overall comfort and enjoyment of the stay. It was a truly relaxing experience, ideal for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature. I highly recommend Tea Queens Bungalow for a calm and comfortable stay. A perfect getaway for nature lovers!”
