Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

SwedenThe room can be really warm at night, but I found an extra fan I borrowed.
The host is really nice and speaks good English. The house is easy to find, the room is good, with both fan and mosquito nets next to the bed. The bathroom (even if you seared it with other guests), is clean and have a good light(something I miss in other places).

United KingdomThis guesthouse was my number one location here in Sri Lanka, I could have easily extended my time here. The facilities were above my expectation, very clean and spacious with a balcony and a kitchen dining veranda, plus a living room and bathroom (with hot water). The host Anura and his wife were the friendliest, good hearted couple, nothing was too much trouble for them, they really made my stay comfortable and easy, the cooking was healthy and tasty. I can recommend this guesthouse, ideal for relaxation and taking a much needed rest from travelling.

United KingdomReally lovely, relaxing stay with very friendly family! The house itself is very impressive and the room was very clean and spacious. The host is very thoughtful of the guests, providing an adapter for charging our phone and a plug in bug repellent just incase for when we opened the windows (there was no issue with this however). There is also a very convenient common area on the relaxing balcony outside where you can use the provided dishes and dining table to eat, also coffee and tea provided. The owner was very kind, giving us great directions for our journey to Negombo the next day. Would highly recommend! 😊

IndiaA bulb in the bathroom focusing over the mirror will be a good idea.
Breakfast was sumptuous. It was big - so I had to request to take some away before I start so as there is no left-over. The friendliness of the owner Mr. Aruna stood out. The place was so quiet that I am mulling to always choosing the home-stays rather than expensive, noisy, hotels.

FranceBy far one of the best homestays I've been to in Sri-Lanka!! There was a perfect balance between your own intimacy yet great hospitality! It was super clean and there's everything you need. It's also so close to the beach and the transports. I had a lovely stay in this beautiful house with such a welcoming couple.
