The spa was wonderful, and the villas provided complete privacy, featuring a private jacuzzi and swimming pool. Everything was perfect, and I can’t wait to come back.

The plunge pool is not heated and quite small/shallow given the price point. We didn’t use it in the end but enjoyed an afternoon in the heated jacuzzi!

We began our honeymoon in Sri Lanka at this stunning retreat, and it was the perfect, magical two-day stay. We stayed in the Sky Pavilion Villa, which includes a heated jacuzzi and a plunge pool overlooking the Knuckles Mountain Range. It is absolutely breathtaking here, although we only managed to enjoy the view on the second day as it was really misty and foggy on our first. The food here is consistently amazing, and the 9-course Sri Lankan curry is an absolute must-try! Our butler, Gihan, is wonderful and incredibly attentive, ensuring we were well taken care of throughout our stay. The entire team, from the GM, front of house, to the restaurant, and ground staff, were all lovely and kind, making us feel right at home. The property is well-maintained, clean and has a large main pool with breathtaking views. You can take scenic walks around the property, which is a wonderful experience on it its own. It is an ideal retreat for couples seeking a romantic getaway :)

The massage experience was quite underwhelming for the price (beware the menu doesn’t include taxes & service charges) and if you’re looking to do the chocolate making class, double check whether cocoa beans are in season otherwise it’s a bit pointless!

We loved our stay at Aarunya, it’s such a peaceful and tranquil place among the lush surroundings. The staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon stay memorable. Would highly recommend the 9 course traditional Sri Lankan feast in the mud house, what an experience!! We stayed in the sky pavilion villa which was very spacious and beautiful - one thing I wish I’d known is that the sun disappeared from the deck/pool area around lunchtime - makes for a beautiful sunrise though! Great food and cocktails too.

We had an all inclusive stay, which included a daily 30 min spa treatment. Although the massage therapists were kind, the treatments were not good at all and did not meet our expectations.

he place is absolutely delightful,in a nice location. The staff were not only helpful but exceptionally kind. The property is beautifully surrounded by lush trees and exotic fruit varieties. We enjoyed a comprehensive tour, a delicious traditional Sri Lankan dinner, and an engaging cooking class—each experience exceeded our expectations. A special mention goes to Namal, a staff member who led us on the property tour. His extensive knowledge about the various herbs, spices, fruits, and vegetables was both enlightening and entertaining. He made the tour informative and enjoyable with his great sense of humor. We also enjoyed daily Yoga sessions with Sampath, our lovely yoga teacher. The bed was really comfortable, and the room had all what we needed. The food was great, particularly during the cooking class, which we highly recommend. Overall, our stay was wonderful, and we enthusiastically recommend this place to others.

Staff forgot to switch complementary wine from red to white . We just don’t drink red one and unfortunately they didn’t do it for 3 days we stayed there . For someone it might be a problem that toilet is outside and you can see bugs and etc . For us it was OK.

First of all it’s truly amazing place . Let’s start from breakfast , it was a little bit annoying since day 2 . So it’s 7/10 . Lunch and dinner were 10/10 . Very good , a big various of meals makes this incredibly good experience. Room was in Indiana Jones style - you better see it yourself . Close to nature as much as it possible . Stuff was very kind and attentive. About spa it’s a little bit different what we used to be . Only 1 specialist . But let me say she is good . You can try but it’s a little bit wild . So as a conclusion we are highly recommend to visit this hotel . By the way we had “all inclusive” and it’s worth it .
