Really lovely boutique hostel. The staff are so lovely and create a really pleasant, social vibe. The breakfasts are the best I had in Sri Lanka. The location is fantastic, close to beach, yoga shack with multiple classes per day, quiet and safe. The rooms are well equipped.

Literally nothing - I will definitely return!

I really liked the friendly and welcoming atmosphere at Agra Hostel. The space was clean, comfortable, and in a great location, but what really stood out was the hospitality. The owner, Nalaka, was absolutely brilliant - so helpful and genuine, he really made the stay memorable. Food was also amazing, I had both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the banana pancakes. And the coffee!!! Soooo good

The rooms are clean and practical with clean bathroom and hot water showers. The breakfast is super nice - you can have alternatives from their breakfast menu and they also have great coffee. The best of everything is the staff working there. Nalakq and everyone in the staff are so warm, open and welcoming and they have made our stay the best! I would really recommend to stay here if you are going to Arugam Bay.

I’m so happy that I found the Agra Hostel, its such a lovely place to stay. The dorms and included breakfast are just amazing and everyone is so friendly, it felt like being part of a big family. Thanks to Nalaka for being such an amazing host☺️

We liked everything, this is just a small note, we would have liked more breakfast options.

Good size bedrooms, and the bed was comfortable. At just 2 minutes walk from the main road, where you can find plenty of restaurants, and at 5 min walk from the beach makes it the perfect location. The family dinner was delicious, and it was also an occasion to meet the other guests. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome.

Excellent location, the private rooms are good, and many of the hostel guests said they would come back or were regulars! A good sign! The staff are super friendly and Nalaka is a wonderful host! He goes above and beyond to ensure we have a good time!

Earplugs are nice to have since you can hear the prayer in the morning but that's okay. We slept very well.

Really great hostel. We were welcomed with a cold coconut on arrival which was a lovely surprise. The breakfast was also amazing - the banana pancakes were to die for and the fresh juice and Sri Lankan options were delicious too. Lovely staff, nice room, beach shawls provided and great AC. We would really recommend staying here.

The host was super helpful, as we told him that the AC in our room is not working properly. He immediately fixed the problem by calling the repair guys on a weekend evening. He also provided tons of useful hints and info about Sri Lanka. With one work he is a really cool and knowledgeable guy who runs his business impeccably. The breakfast was also marvelous (portion and taste). The only negative thing to mention is the smell in the bathroom (with closed door only the bathroom) which occurred time to time. (Might be because of the swampy land behind the building.)
