Beside the amazing view, the best in whole SriLanka most likely, the manager was absolutely amazing. Priyantha truly understands what hospitality is. Great and huge breakfast. Amazing colorful garden. And did we mention the AMAZING view already ;-)

All was great but should we need to mention something: the bathroom could use an update. Not something serious

Amazing view and reasonably close to town

Incredible view. Good breakfast. Pleasant staff.

We asked for a double room but were put into triple room which was a bit cramped. Even though the weather is cooler, a fan would be good. Also lighting was dim so couldn't read at night. Bedside lights would be great.

We had a great time in Ella and in the ambient guest house. The manager and his team are doing everything possible to make you feel at home. I would definitely recommend Ambient Guest house to all, that is looking for a place far enough from the busy center and enjoy truly amazing cinematic view

The badrooms need a small ugrade

The view is more than amazing. I wont ever be able to forget that view. Its just beyond expectation. You can see Ella Rock and Little adams peak at the same time. Rooms were clean, breakfast was amazing. They were so helpful about everything. Location is 6 minutes tuk tum drive but you can walk easily when you are going to the center. However coming back is a little bit challenge since you need to hike to the up a little but. There is always tuk tuk available on the outside. Loved this place!!

This place is comfortable and the position is right at the beach, the owners are lovely people who make amazing food, the breakfast and dinner are great and large so be hungry.

We were a group of friends and stayed the one night here. This property exceeded our expectation

Near Ella Siyapatha Hut Restaurant, very good food. Good mountain view. Lovely dog called momo. Comfortable bed. Good mosquito net. Excellent breakfast.

View from room spectacular, especially sunrise Big breakfast with both sri lankan and western dishes 10-15min walk to town so great location (walking back is uphill though!)

Phantastic view to mountains and waterfall and nice garden and verandas. Quiet place nearby Ella town. Restaurants nearby.

Old buildings and interior. No light at the bed, no plugs in bathroom. The place has to be renovated und updated outside and in the rooms.

The guest house has an amazing view across Ella, it’s quite breathtaking especially at sunrise so make sure you’re up early to see it. It’s up the hill out of Ella which I liked. I arrived very unwell with the flu which wiped me out for 2 bed rest days in Ella. Being a solo traveller the staff were very sweet checking in on me, bringing me tea and offering to visit the pharmacy for me. The staff really do go above and beyond. The manager was very friendly and the owner a lovely guy who chatted with me over tea, some much needed company after 2 days in bed. Oh and Momo the dog was a great addition who loves attention.

It can be a little noisy with the road and all the stray dogs, but it didn’t bother me too much.

Loved it

Spectacular views from a small b and b that has been in business for 25 years. The owners were - like everyone we met in Sri Lanka - very helpful in arranging transfers for us and even packing us some Sandwiches for our early departure. The rooms were fine for the amount we paid for them - and we liked the quiet location as Ella is very busy indeed and it was good to be a bit out of the way. Would certainly recommend

Mountain view was good. On the whole, stay was comfortable.

Room was not up to the mark. There were lizard and bugs / flies in the room and the 3rd person in the room has a tough time as there was no mosquito net. Please check Fungas on the ceiling.

Wow wow wow,we didn't have anywhere to stay in Ella,and our driver Sanjay recommended Ambiente,we have been all over the world and I can say with hand on heart, you will not get a better view,breathtaking is an understatement,the owner is hands on and a lovely person,staff very friendly, if we're passing this way again ,it's the only place we will stay.Thank you so much.Paul and Noelle.
