The tent was old and torn in few places.

The staff was super! Very kind and helpful in anything. The food at dinner was excellent, we really enjoyed it especially the whole setting around the campfire. A truly wild experience.

A comfortable tent set in bush away from everything. Very private and surrounded by nature. Not glamping but with own flush toilet and outdoor shower. Lovely rustic balcony to sit and read. The host arranged transfers to and from the camp as well as a full day safari. Good, home cooked meals and friendly considerate staff.

The tent we were in was a bit tired. But didn't bother us.

Excellent set-up. Minimal number of guests. Nilantha's knowledge and inputs

The zipper of one of the tents did not function well, but it was solved with a pragmatic solution quickly.

Close to the city centre and Yala wild life reserve.

The road to the camp is very rough so a bit of a bumpy ride in.

Remote location puts you in a wild place, saw many birds, frogs, bats in the camp. Tent was well comfortable, nice shared area to sit out. All the meals were excellent.

This is glamping at it's best. It was perfect for what we wanted. Very comfortable bed in a large tent in a private setting, outdoor ensuite toilet and shower, dinner arranged by the fire and under the stars, and an completely enjoyable afternoon safari with a knowledgeable biologist who loved to answer all our questions.

Host had so much knowledge of Yala NP and Sri Lanka fauna and flora. We witnessed a leopard stalking prey, elephants, jungle cats, jackals, crocs, buffalo, and so much bird life (all identified by our host/guide) All staff were friendly and accommodating Camping was a unique experience and thoroughly enjoyed

That was one of the best experiences we had in Sri Lanka. Just staying here in contact with nature was amazing. The tent has also all the facilites you need. Nilantha the owner is such a great man, we hired him for a safari tour and it's the best guide you can get. He is knowladgeable about the forest and the animals, and we couldn't ask for better. Also the dinner under the stars was amazing. Breakfast was also very good. I think you shouldn't even think twice and staying here is a must for your trip to Sri Lanka.

For what it offers in terms of services and facilities, the price is eccessive compared to other places in Sri Lanka, but also to similar places in Europe. To like it you need to be very adventurous. The toilet is in open nature, the room is not very clean, and you need to be prepared to a lot of insects and mosquitos. To be honest, the pictures and the reality do not really correspond. One last small thing, they asked us if we wanted beer, we kindly refused, then at dinner they brought us beer without us asking it, and then they made us pay them.

The idea of the tent with a bed is really nice, as it is the dinner “under the stars”. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the Safari experience organized with them was beautiful.

The bathroom wasn’t clean and being an outdoor area really needs to be cleaned daily. The mosquito netting was torn in places and mosquitoes could get in. The meals were not worth the money paid. They were cold particularly the kottu roti

Loved that it is trying to be sustainable. Nilantha and driver Romesh were incredible at spotting animals and making our safari a first class experience. Nilantha has a wealth of knowledge about the wild animals of Sri Lanka

Nilanthal and Elizabeth are amazing hosts. They are very knowledgeable safari guides. We had an amazing half day safari with Elizabeth where we had a very close encounter with a leopard, it was truly amazing. They are very passionate about the area and the wildlife. The tents are very comfortable and the evening dinner around the campfire under the stars was incredible.

Dont have anything bad to say

Nilantha wpis an amazing guide and it was the main reason we booked his accomodation. I can reccomend to anyone to book a safari tour with him as a guide. He was very insightful, has a lot of knowledge of animals and nature in general. Has degree in biology and published various papers. Smart guy. The accomodation was a fun and unique experience.

We loved the entire experience of being looked after by the owner Nilantha and Elizabeth and all the staff in such a lovely way but also being in such a simple and authentic environment. The dinner under the stars was standout. The food was great. The great conversations were so wonderful. The whole day safari was something we will always remember. So much care and passion from Nilantha and our driver. We absolutely loved it.

Higher price compare to other places we stayed

First ask yourself what is the reason you want to be here - if you are here for the nature alone, Nilantha is the best person you can stay with and who you SHOULD take as a guide with you to the safari. He has a degree in biology , fluent English and knows so much about the local fauna and flora so a full day safari doesn’t get boring (which I can imagine can if you only take a driver with you). He is a true believer in ecotourism and is giving back to local communities. If you are here for a fancy dinner and facilities, go somewhere else. This is a simple stay in the jungle. And one more thing to add - your guide is not responsible for how many animals you’ll see BUT we were lucky and he for sure knows some spots where they MIGHT appear. And last but not least- Nilantha is a great and nice person we had a chance to meet :)
