How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewLocation was good. Breakfast was not good but the total environment was pretty enjoyable. I enjoyed seeing monkey (Long tail Monkey) on tree just after my room. it was 100% village vibe.
Washroom lock was broken, hot water system didn't work and it was not equipped with proper toiletries.

The owner was drunk and driving, very invasive, irresponsible even had motorbike accident, while his daughter (age 12) had to accompany him so he was able to get up. While we were staying there owner went through other's guests belongings, so be really precautions with your valuables if staying there. While drunk he was also molesting young children, proposing marriage to the parents who were clearly discussed and you can imagine how kids were terrified of him. We also booked a safari with them, that was in short a scam and waste of our time. We agreed on 6 hour long safari and instead received 4 including 1.5 hour drive to the park and back. The guide wasn't speaking English, neither was he considerable to animals, often putting us in dangerous situations we couldn't escape if anything would gone wrong as cars were parked so close to each other. Whole family was really pushing for the activities they provide but were not helpful for any other information. Also, the owner was using shower and toilet of rooms, so if you received wet bathroom that is the reason. One more tip and trick, be careful about eating their food as leftovers are often used, with long hours of power shortage you can imagine the food went bad..and had bits of rock in them so it crumbled between the teeth...not good

Verified reviewWe loved our little hostess with the mostest (Numandi), 11yrs old and so helpful and knowledgeable. We also loved the beautiful breakfasts cooked for us. The family room for 4 was a good size with 3 large beds. The gardens were beautiful and the balcony was very peaceful to relax on.
Unfortunately the fan was very loud which made it difficult to sleep with it on.

There was a hole in the window to the room so it was quite loud at night with the noises of the jungle (dogs/ monkeys/ birds etc).

Our experience at this place was very bad. The room and service were poor, and the owner charged us for everything unnecessarily. They charged 300 Rs for a water bottle and 3000 Rs for a dinner that had only two eggs and vermicelli. We were late by two hours because we were waiting at Sigiriya Rock, and they charged us an extra 600 Rs for that. The booking mentioned breakfast, a terrace, a mini bar, and other amenities, but none of these were provided. They had uploaded very good pictures on the booking website, but in reality, the place was completely different. Don’t fall for it – I would not recommend this place at all.

~Bathroom~ Towels & soap were NOT provided. Water pressure is very low. Bulb which was in front of bathroom mirror was not working, so had to shave using phone's flash light. Hot water shower was there, but it was not working. Overall have to improve the bathroom's cleanness more. ~Breakfast~ As per the advertisement, breakfast was included in the package. In our case, breakfast which was provided for two adults and two children were limited to just 4 rotis which is not enough. We had to buy breakfast outside afterwards. If they include breakfast in the package, it should be provided adequately. Or else breakfast should be removed from the package. NOT SATISFIED with breakfast & bathroom...
