Pretty steep hill to walk into town... not too bad on scooter

The view was amazing and our hosts were very kind. They gave good recommendations for hikes and organized a TukTuk to pick us up in the morning to see the sunset at Little Adams Peak. It’s located very close to the train track which makes it a faster way to go to Ella Town in only a few minutes and a less steep walk.

Pillows uncomfortable and some people found the beds too hard. Be prepared for a bit of a walk along the railway tracks each day or a tuk tuk ride back into town.

The view was as stated, brilliant. We paid for breakfast and it was fantastic. Loved the space, it was amazing for a group. Such a calm and serene place in the trees, overlooking the waterfall with cheeky monkey’s to keep you company. The people were very accomodating and kind. Can’t speak highly enough.

This is not my first time staying there and hopefully not the last. It’s a lovely small place with a wonderful view when you have the delicious breakfast. Staff (family) are welcoming, friendly, helpful and it’s always good to be around them. And delicious breakfast

The towels were low quality and left many textile particles on the body and in the bathroom.

Amazing view, caring staff, delicious breakfast, fast WiFi. You can see monkeys, squirrels and birds from the window. You can also see the waterfalls. In the nights you are immerse in the jungle sounds. It’s 15 min walk with ups and downs from Ella town, but there are also tuk tuk.

The hot water wasn't too hot, but I did notice a solar system, and it was a bit overcast the days we stayed there.

The place has the most amazing views, and the family running it is so lovely.

Beautiful place located on the top of a hill, next to Ella’s Rock, I spent 3 nights in this very quiet hotel, I was alone and was perfect, the view form the rooftop terrace is amasing, I warmly recommend this place if you are lookin for calm and serenity during your staying in Ella !

Definitely brilliant view of the waterfall, very hospitable owner, good breakfast. There are many facilities in the hotel itself (shared kitchen, tables, etc.). Silent place. Clean rooms and common zones. Note that the hotel has a rapid up and down road , but for us it was not a problem.

Initially the distance and steep walk, as I arrived from the train when nearly dark and a power cut! But came to value being tucked away from the bustle and the peace / view.

Amazing view of the waterfall from the room. Bed was comfy and it was quiet and peaceful. You can walk along the train track to the top end of the Main Street (and takes you to Matey Hut - highly recommend for dinner) or walk down the hill to other end. It is quite steep incline.

To the last minute I thought I am going to be charged from credit card for my staying as none mention anything to me, and only when I plan to leave someone came to ask for payment and it should be cash. I was lucky I had enough cash to pay but please the management get on this payment issue at least 1 day before leaving.

Good management, little details were thought out, such as indicating which side has hot water and how long to wait, and the owner was always in touch to help with all questions. It is clean, quiet with good view and opportunity to do nice walks enjoying nature to/ from the lodge.

Access to it is so hard by car, you have to hire a tuk tuk to reach it due to high slope and narrow road. Ella is a mountainous town and all streets and alleys are narrow and sharply sloped. Tuk tuk is the best vehicle at Ella.

Its view was fantastic with jungle and waterfall.

We had the basic room which did not have a view from our balcony which was a little disappointing. We should have read the description better, so it was our fault! There was also no storage space in the room. Other than that, there was nothing to dislike. It was a lovely peaceful place. Nothing to do with the homestay but something to consider - If you go walking in the surrounding areas, be warned , there's lots of leeches when there's been rainfall. I got eaten alive, even with DEET, salt, waterproof trousers and thick /sturdy walking boots 🫣

The family who ran the homestay were very kind. It's in a great location - around 15 mins walk from the centre with a lovely view of the waterfalls . Breakfast was great, plentiful and varied. Take it on the terrace with a view if the waterfalls The couple looked after me and bathed my wounds when I got ravaged by leeches.

I wish I could have spent some more time there!

The host was very attentive and helped us with suggestions for our trip the morning after. He also made us some lovely tea and offered food! Everything was great. The view from the room made our trip.
