Very nice owners, flexible and helpful, the rooms was very good, the bed had mosquito net, good breakfast, all was very good.

I saw it’s 1,8 km from Ella center, but did not realise that the road to it was all the way up, quite steep. I like walking , so I still did walk :)

We stayed at Broad View for five nights and were very happy with our stay! The owners (the family) were incredibly kind and helpful. They assisted us in renting a scooter and even offered a convenient laundry service at the property. We had great breakfast every morning and a tasty local dinner two nights :-) Our room was clean, with hot water and a fan, which made our stay comfortable. To reach the property, you need to walk up some stairs—it took us about two minutes and wasn’t a problem at all. Overall good value for money!! :-)

Sometimes the Wi-Fi could be a little slow.

Broad View Hotel is a very good place to stay. When I arrived, I got a welcome tea and some biscuits. The huge room was in Perfect condition, I Even had a blow dryer. There’s also warm water. The hotel offers excellent breakfast. Because I liked the pancakes so much, i got two of them every Morning! When I left with the Early train, I got breakfast to go from my hosts. They also offer good laundry Service! Thanks a Lot for the very convenient stay! I had 4 wonderful days.

If you want to book it, do Not expect balkonies with view into the Mountains, Even though it is called Broad View. There is Only a Little View in the Restaurant. But nevertheless it is worth staying there, because the Environment is very nice and the rooms are beautiful!

Nice, boutique guest house with lovely staff. Also provided locally cooked breakfast.

Even though it is not too far from Ella station, it is located in a steep hilly road which is hard to walk up, and even tuk tuks charge extra to drop at the guest house.

Fabulous place just be aware that there are allot of steps to get up from the railway station to the house if you are walking. You can get a tuktuk up the road too but note that you also have to walk up a few steps from the road.

My room was great with a great outlook. Tuktuk drivers drop you at the bottom of many stairs.

The room was clean, there was hot water shower and really good breakfast.

We liked the views, and being up in the mountains. The bed was very comfy and we appreciated the big squishy pillows. The bathroom wasn’t great, it felt cold and damp. They provided a fan which was nice and a wall lamp. We liked the views from the eating area. They have a very cute dog and nice children.

The food was ok (another bland) and the portions sizes were small too, they gave us chicken one night even though we are vegetarian. There was a mix up with the rooms but I would definitely check that you are getting the room that is advertised as they don’t have pictures up of the one we stayed in. There’s construction near by and it’s a long way from the town center on steep muddy roads.

Nice clean large room with a good hot shower and good wifi I enjoyed a very tasty dinner and delishes breakfast. Very welcoming and friendly family l thoroughly enjoyed my stay, good value I recommend this place

It’s a beautiful location with an amazing view and the breakfast was delicious. They were very helpful with arranging a motorbike and tuktuk for me quickly and flexible with leaving the luggage there on my last day.

Most taxis/tuktuk wont go up the hill to drop you at the hotel, they will leave you one road down and you have to walk up the steps so just keep this in mind if you have heavy luggage, or maybe arrange transport with the property beforehand. On my last day the lady organized a tuk for me which picked me up from the hotel so I didn’t have to go down the stairs.

**Amazing Stay at Broad View Hotel!** I had a wonderful experience at Broad View Hotel. The hospitality was truly heartwarming — the staff and the hosting family were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing, full of flavor and served with care. The view from the hotel is absolutely breathtaking — a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. A few small improvements could make the stay even better: - It would be great to have water, cups, and a heater in the room for tea or coffee. - Providing mini soap and shampoo in the bathroom would be helpful. - A few cloth hangers in the restroom would also be convenient. Overall, I highly recommend Broad View Hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Would definitely love to come back! --- Ruwan

Not properly maintained rooms. Drinking Water, wash kits not kept by default. No English speaking in the property tough to explain things. Expired milk was given when we requested milk for baby. Property owner typecasting on nationality when concern is raised. Reference booking.com chat
