- staff are helpful - location is really good - they have a bar with affordable drinks

- no hooks to hang stuff - no shower gel or shampoo provided - bunk bed is so flimsy, I was worried it would break when the person climbed on top bunk - staff could be better at being present at check out in early mornings or take payment when guests arrive. I needed to leave super early and no one was there, I had to leave the money in my room and leave a note - no shoes are soon are you arrive is inconvenient but I understand not having shoes in the room - hostel is very small only two rooms, not really social although they do offer activities, it just doesn’t really have a social vibe - slightly overpriced for what it is, no breakfast or free water etc

Everything! Amazing staff who create a very social environment, great well equipped rooms, and perfect location 2 minutes walk from the main beach. They keep the rooms clean everyday, organize hostel meals and social evenings, and just make you feel at home. Been there for almost a week after extending my stay three times. Highly recommended for solo travelers!

Wow this is such a great hostel. The rooms are clean, with good aircon, and the facilities are great. Oriane was so helpful and made me feel right at home. It’s a small hostel with a very intimate vibe & is just the right amount of social, not a party hostel. It’s about 5 min walk from the beach and close to all the restaurants. We even had a family dinner which was amazing. Thank you C U hostel 💕

WiFi is good but not great in case you have to work.

A small hostel with around 4 beds each in 2 rooms. But a very good one. Would definitely recommend staying there. The hosts are very responsive and they know the place very well.

Facilities very basic and not clean

Love the laidback yet attentive vibes of the owner Thusi and his friend Jacky. I think they noticed I wasn't aware that they provided breakfast, so they asked me personally the next day. Simple local breakfast - tasty and heartwarming! If they are free and available, they would sit around and chat with you. When I asked how to get to Kandy from Trinco, both of them arranged a tuktuk driver for me and made sure he took me to the correct bus. Additionally, C U Hostel sits amidst many local stores offering food and drinks, tailoring services, fashion accessories, and dive shops - most are just a few minutes away. Lovely interior and enchanting wall murals; great place to make friends too. Definitely worth a longer stay :)

There's nothing I dislike. That said, here are some suggestions to make the stay even better: installing a rack near shower head for toiletries and providing an additional door mat outside the bathroom for drying our feet will be extremely useful.

This hostel is honestly amazing. The owner only opened a year ago but already the hostel is so so nice. The owner is so kind, chill and will help you with anything you need! Everyone that works there is super kind and tries to get to know you. One night we played the Sri Lankan board game and they taught me and my friends how to play. The hostel is always kept clean and is only 2 minutes walk from the beach so it’s literally the best location. The owner is building more stuff in the garden like a snack bar etc so it’s only going to get even better. The beds are comfortable, you have a plug and plenty of place to store your stuff, and you can choose between AC and fan dorms. I felt super at home here that I extended my stay twice! Thanks for everything :)))

I liked everything!

Really chill hostel! Staff is super nice, and treats you like family/friends from the first moment. Made me feel very welcome. The hostel itself has a really chill hippy vibe, with nice outdoor spaces to hang out.

The hostel was welcoming, clean and had everything you could need and to top it off, it’s so close to the beach! The owner Dusi and Jacky who works there were both amazing. They couldn’t have done enough for everyone. It really felt like a little community there. Whilst I was there they had AC installed in one of the dorm rooms too which was a massive thumbs up from me! Dusi (the owner) can sort out all sorts of day trips too, me and a couple of others did a dolphin/snorkelling tour which was great! Thanks for a great week guys! :)

I had a great time in Trinco, we had a nice little gang in the hostel. Basic but nice, fire in the garden, place to park your bike. I liked my stay here.

This is one of the best hostels I ever stayed at. Thushy & co are just the best and friendliest people ever and make you feel right at home here. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need, the garden is lovely, great breakfast and fun evening activities! I extended my stay multiple times ad can only recommend staying here!

Host and guests were pretty nice. There is s nice Café and restuarant only 3 min. by foot away. The breakfast was good, prepared in an outdoor kitchen.

No AC, no toilet paper, not that clean. Hostel is located very well. Thank you!

Very close to the beach and some good spots for food. The hostel is clean and the team on site are really nice and super helpful if you ask them anything. Breakfast can be better, the room has 2 funs but it was still quite hot for me. Great value for money overall!

Had a great stay at C U Hostel! Location is perfect, so close to the beach where you may enjoy swimming, reading a book as well as find different options for food. The breakfast at hostel is also nice. Rooms are spatious enough, garden is really beautiful, dogs are to fall in love with and staff is great - informative, willing to help (all of them, but I'm specially thankful to Jackie, who is such a good man, with pure heart). All in all, very nice atmosphere, recommend staying there. PS. If you have chance, make an excursion to other villages and beaches from C U - the staff will help you with information and organizing transport.

This is the second time I return to this place after a wonderful experience I had with everyone. Everyone here is amazing, starting with Dosi, the hostel owner, and his French assistant, Auryan, along with Jackie and the rest of the team. Dosi’s mother is an incredibly kind lady who allowed me to use her kitchen with a generous heart. I highly recommend everyone to book Cu hostel

Booked for 2 nights, stayed 13. I think nearly everyone I was with extended their stay. Thusy and his hardworking but laid-back, creative team made my stay really memorable. Jacky's breakfasts were delicious and he really took care of me. The people who came and went were unforgettable. The place is gorgeous, 1 min from the beach, lovely garden - and Thusy's projects will make it better and better. I was there 'off-season' and loved it all the more. Good Luck with Everything - and next time I'll come for a yoga retreat!
