The host was very friendly. Breakfast was home cooked and excellent. Location was very good. Room was basic and small but perfect for our one night stopover.

Great location—close to everything you need! The room was a bit on the smaller side, but it was cosy, spotless, and had everything I needed. What truly sets this guesthouse apart, though, are the incredible women who run it. Three generations of kind, welcoming hosts who made me feel like part of the family. As a solo female traveller in Sri Lanka, I felt completely safe, comfortable, and truly cared for here. Their hospitality went above and beyond. If you're looking for a place with a warm atmosphere and genuine local charm, this is it. Highly recommended!

The room was very tiny for 2 people and very warm at night. We slept without a sheet all 3 nights. There’s one fan, but tough through the mosquito net to feel fully. There is no WiFi, which is mentioned.

The owner is so kind and welcoming! We loved staying with her. The place was close to the water and came with a fruit plate plus hot item for breakfast. The shower had great pressure.

Anusha and her daughter were so welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived! We loved staying here - the location is perfect and the breakfast is so delicious and made with heart. I was unwell during our stay and Anusha and her daughter made sure I could get to the chemist and made lots of effort to check in with how I was. Thank you so much, we would recommend to everyone.

Unfortunately, the heat in the room was very strong and it is really small. There is no wardrobe or space to store the luggage. Also there are no windows that can be shut so all kinds of animals can easily get into the room.

The hosts are incredibly welcoming and nice! They prepared a great breakfast in the morning and gave us good advice for Hiriketiya.

Honestly everything was great!!!

This room was the most amazing stay I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Anusha and her daughter were so welcoming and kind throughout my stay. I would recommend this place for anyone! I want to go back and stay with them again. 10/10! The location was amazing right in the middle of hiritekiya with a 4 min walk to the beach and amongst lots of nice cafes, restaurants shops and the gym. The breakfast included was amazing! So tasty, Anusha made fresh fish sandwiches, coconut and honey pancakes and fresh fruit plate, it was delicious! The room was perfect with everything you need and they provided extra fans for if it was too hot but I did not need to use them. Anusha’s daughter has the cutest boutique shop at the front of the room which was so lovely. They also provided great recommendations on food aNd what to see/ do in Hiriketiya and on the island. 🏝️

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Cannas Hiri! The bed was super big so perfect for two friends sharing it. Location wise this place is situated quietly off the main street with only a few minutes walk to the beach. I think the best part about this place was the host and her daughter, they really went out of their way to make us feel at home and had the possibility to try amazing homemade Sri Lankan breakfast (a new dish every day+delicious fruit)! Looking forward to come back!

The room was quite small. This was not an issue for us as we had only small luggage, if you have large bags, might be a bit tight

Hospitality like no other, the sweetest people we met during our trip in Sri lanka. Excellent local breakfast. The room was basic and clean. Convenient location close to Hiriketiya beach and services. The map on booking was not showing the location correctly so check on google maps.

It's like feeling at home! Anu is a wonderful host who really takes care of her guests. And her food is amazing too! The location is perfect, less than 5 minutes walking to the bay.

We were the first guests that were welcomed at Cannas Hiri and the woman who runs this place treated us like family. The property itself is located perfectly in Hiriketiya. You can reach everything, including the beach, within 5 minutes by foot. The room has everything we needed and the garden is such a nice place to relax too. The breakfast was freshly made for us every day and super tasty. We could even request something if we wanted too. The owner always cared about our needs and offered us tea and coffee multiple times.
