They have a dog that sometimes barks during the night and it’s a bit annoying, also during my stay there is some villa around that listen music VERY laud until very late on night so it was difficult felt asleep

The room Was new and very big, the breackfast also is good, the staff is very noce the keep for free my backpack during my road trip through the south

Lots of mosquitoes in the room

The room was quite spacious and the AC worked well. Modern furnishings and comfortable beds. The room was mostly clean though there were some parts that seemed to have been missed. The breakfast was good. The location is great -- not too far from the beach. We enjoyed spending a few days in Ahangama here!

The only minor downside was the bathroom—after showering, some water tended to flood the floor slightly. Not a major issue, but something to note.

We stayed at this hotel in Ahangama for 3 nights and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is clean and well-kept, and the staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help. Our room was spacious, had air conditioning, and was spotless throughout our stay. Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of tasty options to choose from each morning. Overall, a great value stay with warm hospitality and a relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Well I did have to go and ask for change of bed clothes a couple of times over our two weeks stay, as not sure if just putting the 'please clean room' sign on door handle would have worked as didnt seem to get noticed the morning I did this. Maybe it would have done, but I think some communication at the start about what was on offer regarding room cleans and bed changes would have been helpful, as I had no idea if it was normalor not to ask for a change of sheets those two times, even though when I did I wasn't with smiles and the bed changes were done by the end of the day nicely. The rooms weren't cleaned during the bed changes though. Again, I'm not sure what the expectation here was. However, we didn't mind at all that the rooms didn't get cleaned (only bed/towel changes and bin changes,) because we still felt we were staying in a beautifully luxurious place and was amazing value for money. Would definitely stay again if in Sri Lanka.

We were so glad we picked Ceagull for our stay in Ahangama. Our family of four had come to this area of Sri Lanka primarily for my fiancé and son to surf at Sticks and Marshmellow surf breaks, and were sorelueved when we arrived thar the hotel was both near enough to walk to all the relevent beaches in no more than 10-15 minutes, but also far enough away from the main road to be both quiet and have good fresh air. The little road the hotel is on is fantastically pretty (beautiful trees, monkeys, bushes) and with plenty of choices for an evening meal right there, without having to walk as far as the main road. So convenient! The rooms themselves felt more luxurious and spacious than we expected, and the included breakfasts exceeded our expectations. The staff were always smiling and polite and the aircon worked well, even when there was a brief power cut, because there was a generator by the main entrance that did supply extra electricity at these brief times. The wet room showers were incredible. Handy having the drinks fridge in the rooms too. All in all it was amazing value for money.

The only downside is the WiFi isn't so strong in the rooms. If you work from the restaurant you'll get a pretty good signal though!

Can't recommend Ceagull enough. The location is perfect, really quiet tucked away from the busy street but not too far from town. The staff is so wonderful, friendly, warm and welcoming and ready to help you with whatever you need. The rooms were large and comfortable.
