We had a wonderful time at Ceylon Wilpattu Safaris and lodging! The team are all so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. The rooms were beautiful and the food was delicious!! The buffet was so great - all local home made dishes. We had two amazing days on safari which was arranged by the hotel - the food they packed for our trip was also great. To top it all off - I was celebrating my birthday while staying and the team even arranged a surprise cake for me! Thanks so much!!

Very well maintained property - lovely rooms and bathrooms that felt very clean. The staff were lovely and friendly and very attentive. The food options were great and very handy as the lodgings are not close to restaurants as it is a safari area. Would definitely recommend

The WiFi in our room wasn’t very strong (though Roshan kindly explained at check-out we hadn’t been given our room’s extension code), and the room could use a couple of extra shelves or tables for convenience.

We stayed 2 nights at Ceylon Resort Wilpattu so we could enjoy a full day safari, organised by the resort, and the whole experience was above our expectations. The resort has such a family feel – the owners are warm, welcoming, and so easy to chat with. The food was absolutely delicious, all handmade, and we even left with a few new recipes! They thought of everything – from a great breakfast to a tasty lunch packed for our safari as well. And they even made our son’s birthday extra special, which meant so much to us. Our spotter on the Safari, Hansa, was incredible. Thanks to him we saw so many animals, birds and lizards. Everything was so well organized and taken care of that we could just relax and enjoy. Truly a wonderful place to stay – highly recommend!

Not much, a pool would be nice to chill after a safari, but you know this is not available when you book .

This family run hotel/home stay is so nice. Mother in law is cooking breakfast and dinner , really Nice and tasteful traditional Singalees food. Very Well arranged private safari from the hotel with great guide and reasonable prices. Lunch and breakfast take away were very good and better than we had at a 5-star yala resort. Room very spacious with three king size beds and modern bathroom

There was nothing we didn't like - it was fantastic!

The welcome, the food, the hospitality, and the experiences were all exceptional. Everything we asked for was organised for us, including meals, transfers, safari, and sightseeing in the surrounding area. We are a family of 5 with children ranging from 12 to 16 years old - everyone loved the experiences, and we couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Roshan and his family are really kind and helpful. The food his wife makes is very delicious. We also booked a safari here. Quite pricy, but also worth it. We saw leopards, elephants and all kinds of mammals and birds. We got a free upgrade at the resorts, but some of the guests also moved to another resort because of overbooking.Thank you Roshan for the wonderful time.

The bedroom and bathroom were fabulous. The bed was super comfortable and cosy. Lots of tea and coffee etc provided. Dining area lovely and food pressed well. Nice gardens.

Not really "disappointing" but the communication beforehand felt just a little bit chaotic. But our trust that it would all be fine in the end was true.

We were there 21-23 July. The staff was incredibly nice, such a lovely family. Great hugs and the loveliest smiles. The lodges are beautiful. The Sri Lankan food buffet was super tasteful.

We felt more than at home with Roshan and his family. We were given a very warm welcome after a 150-km journey by our tuktuk. We were then taken to our beautiful lodge with all its amenities. Meanwhile, Roshan told us all about the resort and the beautiful surroundings. We stayed there for two nights and everything was extremely well organised, including the safari, we had a wonderful day and we were provided with a delicious breakfast and lunch. Rashon's wife could cook incredibly well; we got to enjoy a very extensive and delicious dinner two evenings. By the way, a room is being built where one can get cooking lessons, among other things. Breakfast was also very tasty. We can look back on a fantastic and warm stay. We enjoyed the genuine personal attention. What we appreciate enormously is that the family involves the society in such a pleasant way.

Great room, lovely staff, nice terrain and close to Wilpattu NP. Best thing: super helpful with planning your next part. They help with transfers (prices according to PickMe) and give great advice too (such as that we could visit Anuradhapura for just a day with their driver and end the day at Trincomalee Beach). Also, the breakfast & dinner is delicious. They even have a nice cappuccino now ;) Highly recommended 🙏🏼 Thank you all, especially Roshan and Dushan! 😊

The safari with the guide that was very experienced, a 10/10 experience. The warm hospitality from the host and his wife. they were kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The authentic Sri Lankan food, delicious and freshly prepared. The overall care,, they upgraded us for free because the room was not used the night we stayed.

Amazing family run business. Roshan and him team were so friendly and helpful. Booked an amazing driver for us to take us into the national park. The food offering was incredible and plentiful. Our host was incredible. He was so helpful and available all the time. We had an incredible stay there. He helped us with all of the arrangement of the safari and guided us through it. We had a room upgrade which was quite spacious and cozy.

Loved the delicious evening buffet. What a treat to try so many different dishes all prepared by the family. We were travelling with a disabled gentleman in a wheelchair the staff were wonderful accommodating all our needs.

Beautifully built and furnished homes with a great staff team, especially Roshan, and outstanding food. Super close to Wilpattu with well organised and sensibly priced tours. Recommend doing a whole day tour.

This structure is recent but in continuous evolution, it is managed by young people who do their utmost to create a comfortable environment for guests. The only advice I would give for their growth path is to take more care of the details: such as improving the closing of the doors and the furniture of the rooms: a reading lamp, a small wardrobe, a worktable, and a couple of chairs would be useful.

Getting to Ceylon Wilpattu safaris & lodging feels like entering the forest: the road is a bit narrow and bumpy, but when you get to the entrance you discover a very well-kept garden and very pleasant facilities. The warm welcome from Roshan, his wife and the staff was truly pleasant: they supported our requests promptly and kindly. We had dinner at the property, hosted in a cool veranda. The food had been adapted to Western tastes but always maintaining the typical flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine: excellent dinner. Breakfast was also rich and pleasant. The rooms are in bungalows in which rest is ensured by spotty clean and reasonably spacious rooms, immersed in a very quiet and pleasant place. Complimentary water bottles are also available in the fridge in the room. This property is highly recommended.

Roshan and his family really took care of us. Messaging us ahead of time with information about the safari, which was really well organised. We saw 3 different leopards, an elephant, a bear and many more animals, we were really lucky. On arrival we got some refreshments and a free upgrade for our room. Also Roshan and his family served traditional and local Sri Lankan food. We had an amazing stay.

Roshan and his family made us feel so welcome. We had a very comfortable bed too and the shower was hot . Dinner is a Sri Lankan buffet - mainly vegetarian with some meat options - home cooked and delicious with rice from their own paddy field The homemade coconut custard is to die for- very tasty as are the amazing fruits on offer - banana, water melon and papaya. We went on a safari to Wilpattu national park too organised by Roshan It’s a beautiful park with lots of lakes and amazing animals - storks , hornbills , monitor lizards, water buffalo , eagles , elephants and leopards and the elusive sloth bears ! Roshan organised a driver to pick us up from Negombo and also a driver to take us to Sigiriya stopping in Anuradhapura for a couple of hours - nothing is too much trouble for Roshan ! Would highly recommend
