We booked the place for one night because we thought it looked special... and it was! From the Tiger-Gate to the rooftop-terrace, it is a sight to see. We originally booked 2 separate rooms because there were no others available on booking, but we got a room for 2 in the first floor. The room was great! Big main room, a small balkony, shower and toilet outdoors, palm trees growing through the floor and ceiling and to top it off: a huge swinging bed, anchord in the ceiling in an artistic and sturdy way. The bed is huge, but the matrass is quite hard. We slept really well, but for some people it might be too hard. On the rooftop terrace you had a great view over the jungle. We spent hours up there, watching parrots, eagles, friut bats and many other animals. In the shared kitchen, you look directly into the mangroves. We even got visited by a bunch of monkeys there. Breakfast is nice, the host organised a lagoon tour for us for a very fair price. He even took us there in an oldtimer jeep. If you need to go anywhere like the beach, the host will just drop you there so you dont need to order a tuktuk. Vibe is great, but we were there in early off-season so there werent too many guests. I think in the main season you can party here all night long. We surely plan to come again.

Such a cool accomodation with lovely people. Spirit of ´68 - so be prepared for peace, love and party. Good breakfast in the morning and you can easily go to Bentota beach by bike or to a boat safari, organized by the host.

Awesome experience. Owner Hemish and his family are so kind. I felt very well looked after here. The mother is an excellent cook. Massive delicious breakfast included and for a little extra you can have family dinner too which was delicious. Got loads of advice of things to see and do which made my time really special. The buildings are like a massive tree house fort, lots of art work everywhere very cool, handmade and rustic vibes. A unique and special place to stay.

Solo 38 years young female Aussie traveller. Very cool hostel. The longer you stay the more you appreciate the place and the love all around the hostel, so much art and quirky things. I was the only person staying at the hostel as its rhe quite season in the area. This didn't matter as I hung out with Himesh, his brother Prabash and their friends who treated me so well and very respectful. Such great humans to be around. Great music, energy, chats and cheapest beers I've had in Sri Lanka. I had the private room, which included breakfast. The room was very big, the bed so unique and comfy. The out door shower was so good. Fan over the bed was perfect. Home cooked, so delicious. Best Dhal I've had in my life (thanks mum). Lots of laughs and conversations. I highly recommend staying here. Friends made for life. Keep growing and dreaming NASA Hostel. Thanks for having me 🙏🙏🙏🌏💜🌻🙏🙏🙏

It was a little far from the beach for me, about half an hour walk! They do supply bikes to borrow, but they were a bit unsafe, the bike I borrowed had handle bars that were loose and I’m not a very confident rider. The owner said he would look at them though!

The Chill NASA family were so welcoming and they were so much fun to stay with! I left feeling like a part of that family and I will definitely be back before I return home! I slept in a bunk bed that had a tree to climb in and out of, there were waterfalls for the shower and sink in the bathroom and plenty of beautiful outdoor chill areas if you want a little quiet time! 10/10 must not miss out! Especially if your solo travelling!

The place was super quiet, the vibes there, the dogs they have, everything is great. The rooms were super clean and very original, truly one of the best places I have ever stayed. We had an amazing coconut rice pudding for breakfast and they were always looking out for us, sharing good times, stories, food. I would definitely recommend it to everyone and it is clear to me that if I go back to Sri Lanka, I will go to Chill Nasa.

This place is a hidden gem. Amazing hut and facilities. Really friendly and kind host specially Pati. They were kind enough and offered me some dinner, breakfast and drove me to the station for free. Super value for money!!!
