Wouldn’t recommend booking a safari through the hotel. Our guide wasn’t engaging and gave us hardly any information about the animals.

It's a nice place but they miss the female touch. No medium towels, no sanitary products. Cleaning can be much better. The carpets are so dirty you don't want to touch. In the bathroom is everywhere paint, which makes it look dirty. The bug spray makes a very bad smell in the room. The walls are like paper, you hear the room neighbors snor, pee and fart... Feels like the are in the room with you. Be aware, that most people leave for morning safaris at 5am,our neighbors got up at 3am! If you book a safari with them, transfer is not included and they won't let you know ahead about this.

Food is really good! And fast. They ask to pre-order but they are so fast you can take your time. The Lori's tour is great! Good explanation and they take your time until you see what you are looking for. Kajaking is nice, the lagoon is just not really spectacular. Staff is very friendly and quick.

A wonderful place with a serene and peaceful ambiance. The cottages are thoughtfully designed to ensure complete privacy and tranquility. The food was delightful, and the hotel staff was exceptionally friendly. Don’t miss the Loris tour – it’s an experience worth trying!

As has been reported before, food prices are very high and not of the expected quality for the price. We have been in SL for 3 weeks and have had much better food for half the price. Sun loungers need mattresses as lying on slatted wood is not comfortable. Road to hotel very poor. Isolated so you have to eat in.

Location, quality of the room. Nice pool. Friendly staff. The position is right in the rain forest, lots of wildlife.

Isolation means no choice of places to eat....45min tuk tuk ride to anywhere.food relatively expensive for this level of hotel.

Pool is a relaxing option. Very very remote...access by un- tarmaced road. Quiet.isolated in many ways but in the middle of nature. Wildlife out the window. Staff very good. Food good room nice and specious

It is a bit overpriced.. there are almost none restaurants etc around so eating at the hotel is the logical option. The food is fine but a bit expensive, the drinks also have a bit inflated prices.

The staff was very friendly, the rooms were big and clean and the shower very good. The pool is very nice!

The breakfast and lunch package for the safari was well organized and good. The diners were simple especially regarding the price.

Cloud Nine is a beautiful hotel and property, with nice rooms/bungalows and swimming pool.

We had a perfect stay at Cloud Nine. Very friendly staff and owners, beautiful room and refreshing swimming pool. We learned a lot about the Sri Lanka wild life and the night Lori tour was an unexpected highlight. We highly recommend this place!

It's a bit luxurious but still a reasonable price

It is a beautiful place to relax buth also to visit Wilpattu park. The hotel organise boattrips on the lagoon, safari in Wilpattu and many more activities. The staff is also very friendly.

Nothing to dislike.

The location and ease of access to the Eluwankulama entrance of the Wilpattu National Park is the primary benefit of the location. In addition the ability to walk through to the beach/lagoon made it extra special.

It felt very relaxing, quiet and peaceful. Set amongst nature. I saw 6 loris on the night tour offered. The food was excellent and made to taste. It felt like a private safari lodge.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Everything was excellent, especially the food — every meal was delicious and well-prepared. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We’d definitely love to come back!

Lack of facilities or ability to deliver any of the tours and activities they promise. One kayak, a couple of bikes, no car, reliant on local transportation and a really bad safari company for the national park. The Loris night time walk was also very expensive and not very good. We didn’t really see any Loris monkeys (a brief glimpse of one right at the end). The park is also in a poor condition and the vehicle they provided was extremely uncomfortable. Also no alcohol apart from canned beer available.

Food was average but not great. Pool was nice. Staff were friendly.

This was out favorite place to stay in Sri Lanka. Amazingly quiet and peaceful surroundings, super friendly, helpful and attentive staff; nice and big rooms, great food!

In short, Just Epic in every aspect. The location and the environment is beautiful, calm and clean. There is so much to walk and explore. The villas are surrounded by nature, they are spacious, clean and very accommodating. The food is extremely good. Most importantly, the hospitality is off the charts. Overall the experience was exceptional. I recommend this place to any locals or foreigners who are looking to explore the Puttalam & Kalpitiya area. Would definitely visit this place again.
