Everything was perfect

The Cozy Forest is a beautiful relaxing solution if you want to spend some days in Ella. The rooms are big, comfortable and very clean. The host was very kind, helped us on any request we had and explained what to do in the days we were there. The position is a little outside of Ella but in a few minute in tuk tuk is possible to easily reach the city center. To be out of the city is a huge advantage because is quiet.

For a solo traveler it's good but I feel for a small family it will be a bit messy as there is no wardrobe/cabinet/cupboard to put the stuff

Bugs ahhh! We got used to them quickly though and it wasn’t that bad. Inevitable part of staying in the amazing location surrounded by nature.

I stayed here with my girlfriend and we had an incredible time here. It was quiet, great view of the sky and stars and the hosts were so unbelievably welcoming and lovely. Apeksha was always helpful and responsive, in providing mosquito repellent, extra towels etc. without even requesting. The food was also incredible (better than most restaurants we had in Ella!). We also were in desperate need for laundry service which they were able to provide and do a great job in a short turnaround. 10/10 definitely recommend.

Very beautifully located in nature, with big windows so you can just lay on the bed and watch the trees. Far away from the loud city life, this feels like landing on an island of peace and quiet. The place has only been opened for two months, so everything is very new and clean. The owner is so kind. She will help you with all your questions about what to do around Ella and how to get there, the little local hikes and which bus to take to go where you want to. There is also a tuktuk available, nice breakfast and dinner (don't know about lunch, didn't ask), laundry service et cetera. When we arrived we got some tea and cookies. Her English is good so communication is fluent, and her son also sometimes helps out. A very kind young man. Nearby there are a couple of little restaurants and shops. To get there we had their tuktuk pick us up which was 800 rupee, if we didn't have the luggage we either hiked up or down to Ella (nice walk!) or took the bus. Ella city is touristic and expensive as far as I'm concerned, but this place offers the nature and relaxation you need. To go to the room it is quite uphill, just to be informed for people who have difficulties walking. I've seen people come back here and so would I!

We had a wonderful stay at this brand new property. The family who runs it are incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was immaculately clean, and the location, though slightly outside the busy Ella town, was perfect for us – a tranquil jungle retreat just a 10-15 minute tuk-tuk ride away. We loved being surrounded by nature. The option for homemade meals was a huge plus, and the breakfast we had was exceptional. Our hosts were so sweet and the accommodation was great! They helped us with an early breakfast before our train and with a lift to the station. The bed was comfy and the views were outstanding. Would love to return.

This place is an absolute gem! From the moment you arrive, the hosts make you feel at home – they are incredibly attentive, ensuring you have everything you need for a perfect stay. They always welcome you with a smile and kindness. It is a wonderful family who will make you feel like a part of it. The entire place is spotless, with a fresh and modern feel, as everything is new, including the appliances. Comfort is clearly a priority here – the mattress is wonderfully cosy, and the crisp, clean sheets make for a great night’s sleep. Thoughtful little touches, like plenty of sockets for your devices and bedside lamps with warm lighting, create a relaxing ambience, something you don’t always find in other accommodations. Hot water is always available, and every detail has been carefully considered to make your stay as comfortable as possible. And then there’s the food – homemade, fresh, and absolutely delicious! Every meal is a treat. But the true highlight? The stunning balcony with breathtaking views of rolling hills, lush trees, and the soothing sounds of birds singing. Watching the sunset from here is pure magic. The location is just perfect – tucked away from the main road and the touristy hustle and bustle of Ella, so you can enjoy total peace and quiet, with no traffic noise to disturb you. It is located in Kithal Ella which is a walking distance from Ella with beautiful views or just a short tuk-tuk ride if you don't want to walk. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and truly welcoming place to stay, this is it. Do yourself a favour and book this place – you won’t want to leave!

Dirty rooms. Often without light and little wifi. Locations far from the center. Mud and mess around the property. Poor breakfast. In the end they charged us more than the booking price.
