The staff where very helpful and good. The cleaner was extremely helpful and good at his job. The food in the restaurant was fresh and tasty but the as slightly overpriced in comparison to everywhere else but still enjoyable. Really nice location and great surfing out front but is 15mins from arugam bay. The tuk tuk drivers are amazing and we have a great time with them and feel we left as friends

South Africa1. The staff, specifically the man at reception (manager) was extremely rude. Swiping is not an option unless you make it abundantly clear that you do not have enough cash on hand. 2. Be careful of the taxis they call, because the one we got tried to rip us off. When we ask the man at reception (manager) why we were being over charged, he’s response was I quote “that’s not a lot for you. If you don’t like it call your own taxi”. 3. The inclusive Breakfast is not what you would expect at a hotel and requires significant improvement. For breakfast we were given 2 slices of white bread and 2 eggs ONLY. I’ve had much better breakfasts at hostels throughout Sri Lanka. I tried speaking to the manager politely while checking out regarding the breakfast and was met with hostility and told I can take my thoughts to the reviews.
The room was clean and was able to accommodate 3 adults comfortably. The pool was lovely and the garden was beautiful. The surrounding area was stunning.

NetherlandsOne downside was that the prices at the restaurant were pretty high, all quoted in USD, which is becoming more common in Sri Lanka. Also, we would have appreciated more storage options in our room. The huge cupboard in the bathroom was too humid to store our belongings. Moreover, the curtains in our room failed to deliver any blackout effect, causing difficulty in sleeping during the mornings.
We had a great stay at Dream Garden in Arugam Bay! The staff was friendly and accommodating, particularly the guy at the restaurant and the cook who were just lovely. Our room was decent, and we appreciated the comfortable bedding. The food was amazing! The kitchen makes their own pizza, and the cook is great at advising what to eat. The pool was nice, although the water was a bit warm due to the heat. The hotel is located a bit far away from the hustle and bustle of town, which was great for a relaxing stay.

United KingdomNo restaurants near have to drive. Vibe was weird. Honestly I feel this hotel is so overpriced for what it is. The hotel was not luxury and not a resort as such. The rooms were very basic and the manager was not hospitable or friendly. I asked where restaurants are or shops and he just said “around”. There is one restaurant I saw in town but the hotel is your only option really. Don’t think it’s clear how far this is from the main town.
Staff were nice enough to let me check out early with only paying 15% for the two nights I couldn’t stay for. Next to a beginner friendly surf area.

AustraliaIt was very far away from the town. It was on the beach but you had to take a long windy annoying road to get there. The pool had tiles that were very scratchy and painful and it wasn’t overall our best stay, but pretty good.
It was a lovely resort, very small but with very nice facilities and stay. This is recommended to anyone who is considering staying here.

IsraelThis place is just amazing 🌸 really nice and clean, everything is just in place and you can feel it in the details. The staff was grate and helpful, the food is very good and the hotel is located just in between weesky point to potuvill point, walking distance from both and there’s a board holder outside of every room which is super comfortable.

AustraliaThe location is a bit remote, but it is on a beautiful beach and you were able to share it wth only the local fishermen at times. A great surf spot when in season. The staff service was outstanding. Johnsan in particular was fantastic, taking us on tuk tuk tours and demonstrating his local knowledge to make each tour memorable. Roshan was also great!

CanadaOur only negative comment is that for the price of the room, fruits and real espresso coffee should be included with the breakfast. Apart from that, we LOVED the place and would go back anytime.
We loved our 5 nights stay at Dream Garden. The Family Suite was big and comfortable. The little resort was really relaxing, with a great pool and tasty restaurant. Food a bit overpriced, but at least tasty. Dixon, the manager, was really nice and helpful. Room was very clean and comfy.
