Incredible location, we spent so much time sitting on our balcony marveling at the view. There was no better place in Ella to admire Ella Rock. The accommodation was a 5 minute walk from the Main Street, which made it convenient but tranquil. Each morning our hosts provided a HUGE and delicious breakfast, with eggs, hoppers, fruit, smoothies and tea/coffee. He was happy to accommodate our vegetarian diet. He was easy to communicate with over WhatsApp, offering laundry, scooter hire and taxi service to our next location. When we extended our stay he provided extra amenities which was a nice touch. (Please see the picture of him carrying my 30kg bag up the stairs 😮)

The road was a little noisy at times but that is not the fault of the accomodation, I expect it would be the same for any accomodation in the area. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

The view, the breakfast, and the hosts were amazing. I would recommend all who travel to visit here! The pictures of the view are true!

A celling fan instead of the small one would help. But besides that, everything was perfect.

Our hosts were excellent and upon arrival, we were served a delicious afternoon tea with local fruits and tea. The owners are very sweet and kind, communicate well over WhatsApp and really respect guests privacy. They also take feedback very seriously and have made a lot of improvements since some old reviews. Breakfast was served with a beautiful view overseeing the Elephant rock and had both western and Sri Lankan options. The coconut sambol was the best we’ve tried in Sri Lanka. For hot water in the shower, it was a simple case of problem solving, first switching on the actual power point that connects to the hot water unit and letting it heat up for a bit before turning the silver dial (the other two knobs are already set to max) to max/ highest it will allow you to and the water will eventually start to heat up with decent water pressure too - not boiling hot but warm enough which was perfect for the hot weather. The toilet flushes better with half flush, rather than full flush. The facilities were basic and the room abit small but it suited our needs. There is no aircon but there is a powerful fan which keeps the room cool. The location was a short 5 minute walk to the main area of Ella. The hosts also packed us sandwiches and fruits when we mentioned we had to check out at 5.30am the following morning which we thoroughly enjoyed on our long train ride to Kandy.

The road was very busy with noisy trucks and cars going up and down but that is not the hosts fault.

Very friendly welcome and generally very accommodating hosts. Individual wishes could be expressed at any time and the food was very plentiful. I took advantage of the offer to have my laundry washed.

I had a great stay at Dream Nest Ella. It’s a very small and authentic place with only one room, which made the experience feel peaceful and personal. The breakfast was delicious and served with a beautiful view. I also really appreciated the afternoon snack, tea and coffee offered upon arrival. The host was extremely kind and helped me organize my return trip to the airport, which made my last day much easier. Highly recommended for a quiet and genuine stay in Ella.

Dream Nest ist a place I highly recommend, the place lies within a walking distance to Ella's most commercial street, yet it is very peaceful and quiet. The place is beautiful and transmits a calming energy because it is surrounded by nature and amazing views. The hosts are very warm-hearted and make you feel at home from the moment you place a foot on their premises. The food is delicious, and they adapt to your dietary needs, giving you the best of the culinary delights of this beautiful country. I had an amazing surprise from the family because of my upcoming birthday, although I left before they made me a beautiful birthday card and a small present. I have nothing more to say than. Thank you so much!

Perfect place just minutes walking distance from busy street with all the bars and restaurants. Waking up here and having breakfast with this view is beautiful. Food was amazing, would definitely recommend also going for their dinner. Friendly and caring family that helped us with everything we needed. Would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at Dream Nest, the family are so welcoming and kind. The breakfast was something different every day for the 3 mornings and the view was amazing. Great communication, they arranged us getting dropped off at the train station once we left and also offered us a laundry service. They even shared their birthday cake with us, truly amazing family.

Dream Nest has a very good location close to the city center but outside of the noisy area. Hosts are very welcoming and helpful with anything you need. They are also very discreet and give you a space for your privacy. Comfortable room and bed, delicious and huge breakfast and if you wish dinner as well. I recommend to try a home made food, cooked with passion and love.

There is a road down the hill. It’s a bit noisy in day time but it didn’t bother me.

We firstly liked breakfast. It was delicious. The stay Home is closed to city center as walking. You may go only 5 minutes to city center. İnternet connection is well too. Owners are very soft and kind.

It may be cleaner. Also there is no shampo.

Not by any means anything to do with the property just the noise from. The road was somewhat noisy. But can’t be helped.

Host family, beautiful view from the terrace, abundant and tasty breakfast, location.

I’m going to leave an honest review because if there was one I wouldn’t choose this property. But all the reviews are 8 - 10 out of 10 I just don’t get it. 1. Strong chemical smell from the restroom. When we checked in it was so bad I could feel it in my mouth . So I had to open all the doors to fight it. It faded only on the second day but not completely. 2. Room is so small, that you basically sleep your head next to the restroom door - and smell the smell. 3. Mattress is so hard and you can feel its springs. To be honest from my almost 100 countries where I traveled and countless accommodations where I stayed - it is the second worst mattress I could remember. 4. Cleanliness could be improved (dusty shelves and but for these shelves there isn’t much furniture to put your clothes on. 5. Water heater’s original cord isolation was damaged and now it’s isolated from the water and bathroom’s humidity just by electrical tape 6. Scooter host has for rent is very old and it kept stalling on the run.

    Property response:

we are sorry that you have had a problem that no other guest who has ever stayed at our place has had.if you had so many shortcoming ,you should have left our place .

A real home-stay: I felt safe, warm-heartedly welcome, nourished by endless cups of tea and an abundant breakfast - just the right place to flee the for-me-too-busy-Ella.

    You hear the busy street
