Earl’s Regency is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed at in Kandy. The location is stunning, surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking views of the hills, which makes it feel like a peaceful escape from the busy city. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped, offering a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile, which made us feel truly cared for. The food was delicious, with plenty of variety, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is calm and inviting. If you’re looking for a luxurious and serene getaway in Kandy, Earl’s Regency is absolutely worth it!

Not a single thing

The hotel is in a tranquil green area, a bit remote from the center. Perfect for those who want to stay in quiet location surrounded with nature. I enjoyed the spacious room that was regularly cleaned and tidied - very important - and had good reliable facilities a traveler might need to relax. Bathtub with jacuzzi setup, good shower, iron and ironing board. The cable works just fine, many channels. Breakfast has Sri Lankan and western options. A very nice bonus - small balcony that either faces the forest or the beautiful hotel front and the pool, depending on the side. Having a sweet tooth, I also appreciated the welcome sweets arrangement.

The rooms were located in a quiet area and the landscape was nice. The breakfast buffet was very good.

The property was kept well and the location was beautiful. We had issues with access to one of the rooms because the key card did not work. It took several attempts by staff. Also the bathroom shower drain was not working properly. Lot of water on the floor.

Nothing particularly, but could improve staff mentality on equal treatment to both local and foreign guests. I too born in SL, but I live permanently out of Sri Lanka. The cleaning staff and some servers, indirectly prioritising foreign BORN tourists opposed to local looking tourists like us.

I was 28 weeks pregnant during my stay and found the beds very firm. Otherwise, everything was very comfortable and the rooms very spacious. Kandy is a great city but you probably only need 2 nights maximum.

The facilities are wonderful and the hotel is beautiful. We were very well taken care of and offered a free room upgrade. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The guest services offering is also very helpful for information relating to your stay in Kandy.

A Truly Memorable and Delicious Experience – Thank You, Earl’s Regency! We recently stayed at Earl’s Regency in Kandy and were absolutely blown away by the incredible hospitality and personalised experience we received. One of the absolute highlights of our trip was a private cooking class organised just for us – something not usually offered by the hotel, but made possible thanks to the wonderful staff going above and beyond to create a memorable experience. A huge thank you to Chef Jayakodi and Chef Sampath, who took the time to guide us through a hands-on Sri Lankan cooking experience. Their passion, skill, and warmth made it both informative and so much fun. Every dish we prepared was absolutely delicious – fresh, authentic, and beautifully presented. We learned so much and left with full bellies and big smiles! Special mention must also go to the attentive and friendly service provided by the waitstaff during and after the class – every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making the experience seamless and enjoyable. We cannot recommend Earl’s Regency highly enough – from the stunning setting and comfortable rooms to the exceptional service and willingness to go the extra mile. This cooking class was the perfect example of genuine hospitality and left us with wonderful memories we’ll cherish for a long time.
