Energy of this place is really beautifull 👌 The wiev to the waterfall and Little Adam's Pick is so magic 🙏 A little hard to reach this place by car but finally we managed it, thanks my excelent driver 🙏🙂 Very nice, kind and polite owners couple, prepared to help us with everything. prepared We aprecciated transporting to the centre of Ella and many interesting places by owners tuk tuk 🙏

Ella City was a 15 minute walk away when taking the short cut down some steep steps.

The accomodation overlooked Ella City and from our balcony we had spectacular views of Ella Rock, Little Adam's Peak and a waterfall. Each morning we had breakfast which was a very large portion. Our hosts were very helpful and kind.

There is an electric kettle 👍- however the plug is high up !! Building work next door - they are building more rooms - this did not bother us though With amazing views it is worth it!! You need to bring your own toiletries which is like most places in Sri Lanka

Very gracious and lovely owners Breakfast was amazing - enough to fill you up for the day 👍👍 Fresh fruit and amazing coconut pancakes 😋😋 Bed was very comfortable and we had hot water all the time - all very clean too The views are to die for ( sunrise in particular ) and you wake up in the morning to birdsong There’s a lovely walk down to Ella - down some steps to the right - which leads to the railway line - turn left and walk among the tracks into Ella - very safe - everyone does it !! Mateys Hut is amazing for food too - there is a queue every day - well worth the queue - we also did Mateys cooking class - highly recommend this is you are into cooking

There was building going on next door which was nosiy but the boss came to apolgise and said it was only for that day and had to be done because of the rain - but it might be worth checking before you stay.

Really amazing view! One of the best in area, you can see a waterfall and trains as well Ella Rock and little Adams Peak. It is not in town but there is a good short cut down and then short walk along railway track into the town. The hosts don't speak much English but respond quickly to text messages.

Amazing views from the balcony towards the Ravana Waterfall! Very nice hosts and good breakfast. It's quite far up the hill, so it's a little walk into town but with the shortcut over some steps and the railway tracks it's actually an easy trip.

Exceptional stay with unbeatable views. From the room you can see the sunrise and hear the sound of water falling down a waterfall. The breakfast was also delicious and the owner helped us organize a motorbike rental and also a taxi driver for our next destination. Everything was perfect.

The view is beyond words—absolutely breathtaking. You can see deep into the mountains, and to the right, there’s a waterfall you can both see and hear. It’s so peaceful, it feels like a scene straight out of a movie. Waking up early to catch the sunrise is magical, and later, you’re treated to a delicious breakfast on the terrace. The people here are incredibly kind. We did a day tour with the host of the apartment, and he took us to all the best spots. Highly recommended! And once again, this view… 😍

The View is unbeatable. It is also just a 15min walk into heart of Ella. We were treared with a majestic breakfast. Ella Rock is a 1.5h hike (one way) from here.

A fridge and safe would be helpful, although our room did feel very secure.

The family who own it are very friendly and helpful. An easy 15 minute walk down the hill into town. You could walk back but we always took a tuk tuk for 5 or 600 rupees. The owner has a tuk tuk and can take you around ella for reasonable prices and is very helpful. The bed was comfortable, shower warm and the view outstanding. Breakfast was beautiful served on our balcony.

The best view!! Amazing family host who pack delicious breakfast to go for us even at 6 am when we went on a trip. Close to Railway station maybe 15 minutes walk (there is a shortcut the host told us about).

The stay was amazing! The view from the balcony is honestly the best view in Ella with an amazing view during the sunrise. We loved the waterfall that you can see and hear too. The breakfasts were also so great and different every day, allowing us to try different breakfasts and eating on the balcony with the view was perfect. The hosts were very nice and had great communication, when unable to understand us in English - calling a family member to help. Really helpful and able to organise our transfer to our next place.

Like in a lot of places in Sri Lanka the bathroom smelly quiet damp and was a bit worn out.

Most amazing view from the balcony where we also got served breakfast - waterfalls and scenic mountain range. The room was clean, small but had everything we needed. We liked to stay a bit out of town as Ella is really busy and loud. However if you want to go to town it is a 15-20 min walk down/ up the hill.

Everything was really good however the Wi-Fi and mobile reception was poor.

The view was amazing and the room was really clean . The owner and here family were v friendly and helpful. Although it was a fairly steep climb back from the city , we enjoyed chatting to the neighbours as we walked back and the view we had was most definitely worth it.

The wifi was intermittent and the reception for Dialog data was similar. The shower pressure was also low and we found it best to shower in the evening.

The view was out of this world. From the balcony you can see Little Adam's Peak, Ella Rock, a waterfall and beautiful tropical vegetation. The bird life on a daily basis was wonderful. We were welcomed with tea and biscuits and made to feel at home at all times. The room was small yet not cramped, with a fan, fridge, kettle, small settee, large very comfortable bed with mosquito net. There was a separate bathroom with shower. Breakfast was included and was delicious. We stayed 5 nights and each day the breakfast was varied. We are vegetarian and managed to eat really well. We also ate dinner on two nights which whilst not as cheap as some restaurants in Ella, was convenient, tasty and still good value (2500 per person). Eating on the balcony with the view was priceless. Laundry service was also available at 700 per kg. The location is up a hill by road, tuk tuk easily gets you there. The husband is a tuk tuk driver and we used him for a tea factory and waterfalls visits We tended to walk down the steep steps to the railway line which everyone uses and is easy walking into Ella, 10-15 minutes. Just before the station you come down into the town. The first restaurant on the right is Matey Hut... highly recommended.

The room was a little bit warmer then expected, but we managed to sleep well with the fan.

The view is one of the best in Sri Lanka. The family that owns the place did everything to make us comfortable. The breakfast was also very delicious. It's a 15 minute walk to the city center via a staircase and the railway road. A tuktuk back is around 500 rupees.

The lady on site was very friendly and helpful but spoke little English so it was very difficult to communicate and get good information.

Spectacular views overlooking mountains and a waterfall, absolutely breathtaking! Lovely porch area to sit and read or relax. Fabulous breakfast. Beautifully decorated room. Quiet and away from hustle of the town but close enough to walk down and tuk tuk back up (steep hill).

There is only cold shower but it is manageable.

The place is very well located about 10-15min walk from Ella Center with the shortcut. The view is stunning, the bed is super confortable and it is very calm at night. The breakfast served is very good and the owners are very kind and helpful if needed.

A beautiful quiet place with a terrace and a perfect view of the surrounding hills with a majestic waterfall. Rich breakfast full of fruit, egg, toast and great local Lipton tea.
