Amazing view and great people, always ready to help and pick you up from the city with their tuktuk.

Energy of this place is really beautifull 👌 The wiev to the waterfall and Little Adam's Pick is so magic 🙏 A little hard to reach this place by car but finally we managed it, thanks my excelent driver 🙏🙂 Very nice, kind and polite owners couple, prepared to help us with everything. prepared We aprecciated transporting to the centre of Ella and many interesting places by owners tuk tuk 🙏

Beautiful view from the porch/balcony, very reasonable price, helpful and very pleasant family/staff but had to communicate somewhat via message due to language barrier

Steep walk into town +/- along the railway. Basic facilities but good on a budget

The view was really nice. Location was ok. Breakfast was good.

As someone wrote already, there are bugs getting into the room (there is a gap under the doors). When we complained to the staff on WhatsApp they didn't reply... There were construction work untill 9:40pm in this property - they should not have guests when they do it... And they only stopped when I went there asking when are they planning to stop.. The beds were not comfortable. And generally renovation would be good The place is not worth the high price..

Amazing view! Nice and friendly hosts.

The accomodation overlooked Ella City and from our balcony we had spectacular views of Ella Rock, Little Adam's Peak and a waterfall. Each morning we had breakfast which was a very large portion. Our hosts were very helpful and kind.

Ella City was a 15 minute walk away when taking the short cut down some steep steps.

Location. It had fantastic views & easy to get into town.

Very little water pressure in shower & lack of hot water.

It was definitely okey. The hostess is very friendly! And wants to make you feel comfortable. The view is just perfect! The room is in an Okey position. The breakfast was ok. Very, very nice sun in the morning time, very nice to sit in the balcony. The room has a fridge.

The breakfast isn't something special, toast with some local specialities. Although the room seams ok in the begging with nice smelling sheets, on a second look we saw, that the sheets were ripped, between the mattress and the sheet was no other cover, not very nice to sleep in.. The bathroom has many ants, once you shower everything is wet and it doesn't dry easy. The whole area is very humid so it gives you the feeling that everything is wet, the room has humidity problems on the walls.

Very gracious and lovely owners Breakfast was amazing - enough to fill you up for the day 👍👍 Fresh fruit and amazing coconut pancakes 😋😋 Bed was very comfortable and we had hot water all the time - all very clean too The views are to die for ( sunrise in particular ) and you wake up in the morning to birdsong There’s a lovely walk down to Ella - down some steps to the right - which leads to the railway line - turn left and walk among the tracks into Ella - very safe - everyone does it !! Mateys Hut is amazing for food too - there is a queue every day - well worth the queue - we also did Mateys cooking class - highly recommend this is you are into cooking

There is an electric kettle 👍- however the plug is high up !! Building work next door - they are building more rooms - this did not bother us though With amazing views it is worth it!! You need to bring your own toiletries which is like most places in Sri Lanka

Really amazing view! One of the best in area, you can see a waterfall and trains as well Ella Rock and little Adams Peak. It is not in town but there is a good short cut down and then short walk along railway track into the town. The hosts don't speak much English but respond quickly to text messages.

There was building going on next door which was nosiy but the boss came to apolgise and said it was only for that day and had to be done because of the rain - but it might be worth checking before you stay.

Amazing views from the balcony towards the Ravana Waterfall! Very nice hosts and good breakfast. It's quite far up the hill, so it's a little walk into town but with the shortcut over some steps and the railway tracks it's actually an easy trip.

Exceptional stay with unbeatable views. From the room you can see the sunrise and hear the sound of water falling down a waterfall. The breakfast was also delicious and the owner helped us organize a motorbike rental and also a taxi driver for our next destination. Everything was perfect.

We had a lovely stay there, the family runnning the business was really helpful and lovely, clean room, nice breakfast. The lady wake up at 3am to preparat us a breakfast beacuse we had to leave early in the morning

The view is beyond words—absolutely breathtaking. You can see deep into the mountains, and to the right, there’s a waterfall you can both see and hear. It’s so peaceful, it feels like a scene straight out of a movie. Waking up early to catch the sunrise is magical, and later, you’re treated to a delicious breakfast on the terrace. The people here are incredibly kind. We did a day tour with the host of the apartment, and he took us to all the best spots. Highly recommended! And once again, this view… 😍

Fantastic stay, the photos don't do the views justice at all - you look pretty much straight through Ella gap on one side and an amazing view of the waterfall across the valley. Great breakfast, super friendly hosts who can also organise tuk tuks, taxis etc. Great dinner as well- we were staying with a picky 3 year old and they did everything they could to make it great for her as well.

The View is unbeatable. It is also just a 15min walk into heart of Ella. We were treared with a majestic breakfast. Ella Rock is a 1.5h hike (one way) from here.

The family who own it are very friendly and helpful. An easy 15 minute walk down the hill into town. You could walk back but we always took a tuk tuk for 5 or 600 rupees. The owner has a tuk tuk and can take you around ella for reasonable prices and is very helpful. The bed was comfortable, shower warm and the view outstanding. Breakfast was beautiful served on our balcony.

A fridge and safe would be helpful, although our room did feel very secure.

The view was fantastic - best in Ella. The atmosphere and the hospitality was great.

WiFi was not working. Some dogs were fighting in the night.

The best view!! Amazing family host who pack delicious breakfast to go for us even at 6 am when we went on a trip. Close to Railway station maybe 15 minutes walk (there is a shortcut the host told us about).

The stay was amazing! The view from the balcony is honestly the best view in Ella with an amazing view during the sunrise. We loved the waterfall that you can see and hear too. The breakfasts were also so great and different every day, allowing us to try different breakfasts and eating on the balcony with the view was perfect. The hosts were very nice and had great communication, when unable to understand us in English - calling a family member to help. Really helpful and able to organise our transfer to our next place.

The breakfast was gorgeous. One of the best. The owners were very friendly and the view was magnificent.

Rather basic accomodation. The water in the shower was very poor. Impossible to wash my hair. Small room.
