This is a beautiful small hotel just a few minutes walk from the busy main road in Ella. VERY QUIET. ABOUT 10 minutes walk up a hill from the train station.nicely decorated , helpful and welcoming staff.Great breakfast, well-priced.HIGHLY RECOMMEND. BE SURE to visit 98 acres resort for lovely mountain views and meal on the terrace.

Some points to consider. The sheets were not entirely clean and were replaced. During breakfast glasses and other items were not clean and were replaced. We feel that the staff is not focused on monitoring these things. Also scrambled egg during breakfast was cold. In general , some process improvement seems to be necessary. Also with some staff members English communication is rather difficult although that can be trained. The general manager offered (without requesting) a reasonable discount for us indicating a good reflection and self awareness.

Ella inn is nicely situated in the center of Ella and in walking distance from the railway station. The rooms are very nice, comfortable and modern.

Our room had full wall glass windows (located on the bottom floor). We had to have curtains closed the whole time for privacy.

There’s no AC, but the ceiling fan is excellent and quiet, keeping the room cool enough that it’s not really a disadvantage.

The window in the bathroom wasn’t very private if someone one was using the tap upstairs they could see down through I to the bathroom. The room had a damp smell & no fridge.

The location was very central, the breakfast was delicious, the room was spacious, Michael & his staff very helpful & friendly. The courtyard/ breakfast area was lovely to sit in.

It wasn’t clear that the rooms are in an open courtyard and the door opens right to the outdoors. There is a curtain. There is a gate to the courtyard but it’s always open. We were concerned about safety because of this but everything was fine. it was quite expensive but Ella is expensive generally especially for centrally located places

The Ella Inn Hotel is a great location to stay in Ella, very close to the main street, but located in a small street, so you benefit from a very quiet area. The room located on the ground floor was very large with a cosy sofa corner, very large bathroom as well. The breakfast was really tasty ans copious with fruits, toasts and jam, eggs (as you like it for the preparation), pancakes, juice, tea or cofee. Thank you for this delicious way to begin the day! A kettle in the room allow to make a break with a tea or coffee. The manager was very attentive and helpful to give information and find a car for our next trip continuation.

Can only really have eggs, toast or roti for breakfast. Currently undergoing construction so a lot of noise.

Location is great, pretty much opposite the train station, 1 min walk into town with a bank & supermarket. Lots of restaurants too. Walking distance to little Adam’s peak. Rooms lovely and big, well presented. Nice hot shower.
