Nice room, warm shower water on request. Even a hairdryer available. Host offered fruit, tea and juice several times. Even cooked dinner for us at request, the best we had in all of sri lanka so far, especially the jackfruit curry. Very lovely host who was always available for questions. Even helped us organise a tuk tuk to the train station, also offers to organise laundry. Location seems a bit outside but we actually found it perfect, very quiet (unlike the busy center) and surrounded by nature. Can easily reach the traintracks and walk to ella or ellas rock.

They were easy to communicate with through WhatsApp. When the wifi ran out, they made sure to add more so that we could work. The breakfast was very good. You can see monkeys and peacocks from the front balcony. Hot water was sufficient. The only thing we didn't like was the strong smell of mold. There is mold all over the ceiling by the bathroom and outside of the bathroom. If you are sensitive to mold like I am, this could be a problem. It may be hard to avoid in this area as it was so rainy and allt of moisture gets trapped

In front of your room there was a balcony where in the morning during a really nice breakfast (when it is not too hot yet) the sun is shining comfortable on your face. The host was really kind and friendly and she even helped me taking care of my wound on my knee as I had fallen just before reaching the place. In conclusion I can absolutely recommend the place. It is a bit further from the center, so if you want to be close to the center, you might want to reconsider. We however enjoyed the tranquility a lot. Walking to the main road takes ~15 minutes.

España5 comentarios“The place is super comfortable, clean and the views are amazing.”Shashikala was the perfect host. I am traveling solo and she made me feel like home. The homemade meals, the afternoon teas, and all the directions and recommendations made me feel super welcome. The place is located a bit outside of Ella, which is really nice to get away from the crowd. The views are amazing, the space is cozy and super clean.

Shali just has started her business, she is very caring, the location is a quite and simple area, we liked it very, especially in nice contrast to the busy and crowded center of Ella, that suffers so much of overtourism. If you go to Ella and do not like the masses, go to Shali´s!!!

The hostess is very nice and attentive lady, greets you with tea every time (tea and coocies, but one time monkeys stole our cookies from the plate :) ). The place is up a hill, but it's in nature, surrpunded by trees and monkeys sometimes. Breakfast was huge and delicious, it was a lot of different stuff with delicious tea or coffee. Highly recommended.

She offered me very tasty meal for dinner and breakfast.. the room is perfect, and there is a comfortable couch outside, which is nice to lay down. You have a hair dryer and a lot of plugs at your room. Highly recommend to any Traveller :)

The place is near the center, the room is perfectly well equipped, confortable and quiet. The host was adorable, she behave like a mom with me, it was so nice meeting her, she make rice and curry for me and omg it was the best rice and curry of my trip to Srilanka, the breakfast was very good and huge quantities! I recommande this place !

Reino Unido1 comentario2 votos útiles“Damp room”Room was very damp and so were our clothes. A lot of steps and steep slopes to access which was hard for me.But I am 73 and have some health issues but younger ones probably be fine. Just think it needs mentioning. In
Friendly and helpful. Kettle. Washing and drying fair price. Availablity to have evening meal which was nicely cooked.
