Nothing to complain about

It was in a good location but away from the busy roads. The host and his wife were very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was a feast. The rooms were the cleanest we have had in our total trip in Sri Lanka!

Hotel Gala Addara – Dambulla: A Hidden Gem! 🌟 From the moment we arrived, Hotel Gala Addara in Dambulla won my heart! The room was spotless and beautifully comfortable, the pool was pure relaxation, and the sauna was the perfect treat after a long day. Dinner was absolutely fantastic — every bite full of flavor — and the next morning’s breakfast was nothing short of fabulous, with so much variety that we couldn’t resist trying everything (and yes, we loved it all!). What truly sets this hotel apart is the people. The staff, along with the wonderful owner, Mr. Chandima, were incredibly friendly and welcoming, treating us like part of their own family. If you’re visiting Dambulla, I highly recommend staying here. Come, experience it yourself, and you’ll see exactly why this has become my favorite hotel from now on! 😀

My main reason for booking this hotel was the fact that it had a swimming pool, and it did not disappoint. Not only was the pool amazing, but so were the lovely hosts and owners of the property. You can tell they take great pride in taking care of and maintaining their hotel. From the hotel grounds to the rooms, everything was well thought out, carefully and beautifully decorated. It made for a really relaxing and luxurious stay, and I looked forward to coming back to take a rest and recharge for the next day's adventures. In regards to the location, it's in the center, but away from all the noise of the main road, while still being conveniently close to restaurants, bus stops, and shops. The host helped organize a half-day trip to Sigiriya and some other cool scenic spots by private tuk tuk, the driver was friendly and insightful, highly recommend. Overall, it was an exceptional stay, and I can't praise this place enough.

The owners are very helpful and kind, the property is organized and clean, and above all, the advice and organization of the owner, Chandi, are superb!!! I highly recommend it: Hotel Gala Addara is a reference point for seeing the attractions of Dambulla quickly and at a fair price.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gala Addara. We stayed in a very spacious and clean family room. The host and hostess were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome right away. After a day of excursions, it was wonderful to cool off in the clean swimming pool. The breakfast was extensive and delicious every morning. The hotel’s location is an excellent base for trips in the area, such as the Golden Cave Temple and Pidurangala Rock. In short: highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in this region.

Aircon not as cold as I would have liked and sauna didn’t work.

The hosts were amazing. Treated us like family. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Will definitely be back.

This small boutique hotel is run by a family. All the members of the family are just so sweet, polite and hospitable. They prepared an excellent breakfast for us. The room was wonderfully large to host all three of us. Loved the way the bathroom, wash basin and toilet were placed separately in their own room within one big chamber. This helped all three of us get ready simultaneously. The family room is the perfect choice for a group of three friends or a family of four. The pool area is so cozy and they have a beautiful garden area.

More than just a beautiful hotel in a stunning location ( quite and beautiful garden) what truly makes this place special are the owners. They are incredibly kind, helpful at every step, and always ready to offer advice or assistance. It's a wonderful place to relax and unwind, with exceptional food that makes the experience even more memorable. Highly recommended!

Very friendly and accommodating owners. The room was very clean and the 2 beds in the family room were big enough for 4 adults. The owner was very helpful in arranging a safari trip as well as organising a reliable vehicle & driver for us to travel to our next destination.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gala Addara. Our room was at the end of the building and we had a lovely patio that overlooked the pool. The grounds were beatifully presented with great shade over the lovely, clean pool. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts were incredibly responsive. Our host even rang his sister in Australia, whom I spoke to, as she lived near us. Hotel Gala Addara is set back from the road, in a very handy position for wandering in town, and as such is very quiet. I would totally recommend Hotel Gala Addara.

Super nice place with extremely friendly hosts and Team. Really loved our stay there. During our stay We planned to Go to sigiriya and polonnaruwa. Chandi our host organised a driver for us (Santer). We only wanted to visit the two Sites but got a daytrip from Santer which was just perfect. Besides the Sites we drove through the national Park, Visited perfect viewspots and hidden Gems, and also were so lucky to See Elephants during our ride, Not once, but three times. Including Little ones and three big ones swimming. This was our First Trip in Sri Lanka After arrival and Santer made us immediately Fall in love with this Country. Thank you so much. Chandi and his team then made our first stop perfect: delicious traditional breakfast, clean rooms and pool, as well as being there for us whenever we needed help or just a quick Chat as friends. As this wouldnt be enough he insisted on driving us to the Bus station. Chandi, Santer and team, you made a Perfect First impression from Sri Lanka. Thank you so much for that. Hope to See you again in the Future.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Gala Addara, we couldn't fault a thing. The location was peaceful and the pool amazing after a hot day exploring. The hosts were lovely and the breakfasts each morning were the best we've had in Sri Lanka. They arranged a really great Tuk Tuk guide for us to climb Pidurangala for sunrise, then take us to Lion's rock and the Dambulla cave temple - he drove very safely and we had nice conversations with him, his recommendation of a sunset spot was a highlight. The hosts couldn't do enough for us - when our safari tour was moved to 7am, they kindly provided us with a packed breakfast at the last minute. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day.

Beautiful staff, breakfast and pool. Location is walkable distance to some great restaurants. Rooms are a good size. Owners arranged a fantastic guide for our Sigiriya rock visit. Highly recommend Sunil.

Air conditioning was slow. Place is not exactly a hotel - the pool is very small, kitchen is rudimentary.

It's more of a bnb and owners were very helpful. Family room was very large with separated toilet and shower areas plus changing area. Home cooked breakfast was nice
