Location is slightly away from the centre of Sigiriya, but that might not even be an issue.

A very helpful and kind family that made their best to make our stay as good as possible. Rooms are very clean and with all the facilities needed. Our family stayed in the tree house which was even a better experience. Breakfast is good.

The beds with mosquito nets and fresh flowers on the sheets. We felt as princesses. The place is very nice, full of plants and flowers. The swimming pool is another plus. And the stuff is very attentive. We will gladly come back some day.

We had a wonderful time at the Galaxy View Homestay. The hosts were really welcoming and helped with organising trips to the sunrise hike at Pidurangala Mountain, the Minneriya National Park and bike rental for sightseeing in Sigiryia. They even offered a laundry service within one day. We stayed for 3 nights and the breakfast was always delicious. The location is perfect, because you can reach it by public transport and a TukTuk from Dambulla and it's a 20 min bike ride into the city centre. (the family offers bike rental) We enjoyed the time at the pool and the room was very clean. Many thanks to the host family!!

Galaxy View was an absolute gem. The pool, meals, and hosts were all fantastic. We were happy with the location slightly away from Sigiriya rock and the main town. This was perfect for us who enjoy less 'noise' and Galaxy View was nice and quiet. Lovely rooms, bathrooms, and comfortable beds. A big thank you to Karu and his family.

What a gem of a place. Beautifully presented in lush surroundings. the pool was just fabulous post the Lion Rock climb. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful in advising us re. things to do, timings and sorting transport for us. We had a delicious curry for dinner. Please do also try the spa set in the fields behind them. It’s a lovely setting and we had a wonderful ayurvedic massage and herb steam. They will pick you up and drop you back as part of the package.

I was with car, so it wasn't a big issue, but the place is slightly far from the main village.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by Karu, Anusha, and the whole family. They were warm and attentive hosts who went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. My room was spacious, peaceful, and clean. The homemade breakfast was a highlight—fresh, hearty, and full of local flavor—and the quiet garden and pool area offered a serene space to relax and unwind. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated the safe, tranquil atmosphere and the kindness of the family running the place. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a restful and authentic stay.

Karu and his family gave us the absolute best stay in Sigiriya! The place is super cozy and clean, and had a great pool to relax in after an early morning around in Sigiriya. The breakfast was great and Karu was super fun company, plus gave excellent help with arranging transport for early morning and recommendations about Sigiriya. One of the absolute high lights of our trip to Sri Lanka :)

The owners are fantastic - so kind and sweet. Our shower did work when we arrived and they did everything to solve it asap. So nice to have swimming pool towels. Breakfast was amazing. We loved the tree house - surrounded by banana trees.

Perfect homestay location for exploring Sigirya, Lion Rock, Ruins of Polonnaruwa and visiting wildlife parks on safari. Karu, Anusha and family can’t do enough to help with any of your needs. We travelled with 2 of our adult children and immediately all felt at home. Karu organised, bikes, scooters, safaris, bus tickets, rock tickets, sight seeing tours, and was often happy to join us. This is a true homestay with only a few rooms which allows attention above and beyond. The food is also brilliant, not only yummy, healthy and local but also ample. Finally, the pool allows for a refreshing swim at any time of day to cool down. Thank you Karu, Anusha and family. Highly recommended homestay. 😘

The property is located right on the main road. The room was very comfortable, clean, and tidy. Loved the pool surrounded by palm trees! The staff was super friendly and helpful—they even assisted me in renting a scooter. Highly recommend!

The bikes that you can use could use some maintenance. But since they are just a nice (free) add-on, it's nothing I would necessarily complain about. It's next to the main street which can be a bit loud at night but not that you'd lose much sleep over it to be honest.

Very nicely located to do all the things you'd want to do around Sigiriya. The host offers tuktuk service to drive you early morning to whatever "mountain" you want to go on for sunrise - not more expensive than other tuktuk drivers. Also offers safari in the nearby park. Room itself was spacious and clean. Pool was well maintained. Food was great. Nothing to complain regarding the room or hotel itself.

You are on the edge of the village, but I wouldn’t say this is a negative but could be for someone else

+ Karu and family were friendly - took us to lion rock and pringdula, organised a safari (all at good prices) + good breakfast and dinner. We had dinner in Sigiriya village - we should have just eaten at the home stay, it was much better! Karu actually drive us into and from town on this occasion as well! +Comfortable room + great pool that was cleaned daily!

The towels smelt musty, but I can understand why as it’s hard to get anything dry in such a humid area.

Beautiful rural area to explore on bicycles, great host who offered very good value excursions to Dambulla, Polonnawura and Sigiriya in his tuktuk and was a great guide as well, lovely friendly wife, good filling breakfast, small but pristine pool with lights at night, bicycles available free of charge (although they need some maintenance!)

The best experience ever! We are so happy to choose this homestay. Host Karu picked us up from airport and organized all trips around Sigirya, and we also booked him for whole week to drive us around SriLanka. We are family of 4 and don't have enough good words to describe how good we were teated and pampered. Karu was not just our tour guide but guardian angel🙂❤️ Galaxy Stay rooms are very Clean, comfortable and cozy. SwimmingPool is cool and Clean. The wooden hut is fantastic, beautifully decorated, spacious and comes with a fridge. You sit between the banana leafs, at night you can look up to the stars and watch fireflies twirling around. The pool is great and refreshing. The home cooking is absolutely yummy for very reasonable prices. For breakfirst I got every morning something new to taste. The hosts are very caring and helpful, such a nice family, I would have loved to stay.

This homestay is really recommended. Perfect location between Dambulla and Sigirya. The homestay is next to a road so earplugs can be useful if you are a light sleeper The hosts are very nice and want to help in every way, they can also arrange transport to your next location. Host Karu has a tuk tuk and brought us to Polonnaruwa for a day to see the ruins, he makes a good tour to see the highlights and we had the opportunity to see an elephant crossing the road on the way back! You can also rent bikes to go to Sigirya (about 20-30 min). The swimming pool is a gem, small fridge is a bonus and the beds are very comfortable. Would have given an 11 if possible 😉

The family hosting this homestay is truly amazing! Really nice and kind people. The location is good, the pool is a big plus and the rooms had everything you need. Breakfast was good too. They also organized a safari for us.
