Nothing really. Just the place is little beaten up, but gives little traditional feel.

It was a great value for money for me. The family is quite lovely and help me with lot of information. They were so awesome that they gave a free coffee to one of my guests who visited me. I even made a friend with one of their kid. He is fun to talk to.

The host family were incredibly sweet and generous. They offered us a ride to Sigiriya rock and even to Dambulla after check out. The room itself is sufficient enough for a short stay. We had no problems at all and there was even hot water in the room.

It’s a very peaceful place, surrounded by nature. The rooms are good size, the bathroom is okay, there is hot water, which is not always the case in Sri Lanka, Wi-fi is okay.

The family was very welcoming and nice! Breakfast they prepared for us was great! Rooms were clean, furnished with beds with side-tables, hangers and a little cabinet. The Lion rock was just 10 min. By walk! If you look for a simple, low cost accomodation at the local family go for it!

Just bear in mind that it’s better for your taxi to drop you off at the street, as it’s a little narrow for cars. It’s not far to walk.

It’s lovely family-run accommodation in a serene jungle environment. All facilites were comfortable, breakfast was delicious and the staff were lovely.

Everything was lovely! I arrived here super late at night - i was meant to go to a different accomodation but when I arrived it was so bad so i left straight away - then i found this place. As soon as I arrived even thought it was last minute booking they arranged the room for me and even a Tuk Tuk for the day after in the morning and safari! The room was super clean and nice! Also the family was super lovely. I Highly recommend this place ❤️

Bathroom was not up to date, bedsheets and towel were old, smelly. Insufficient lighting in the room.

The surroundings, it was fantastic with lush green forest-like garden with big trees, can watch peacocks and monkeys while you having breakfast. A small stream flowing just behind the cottage. Beautiful caring family. Awesome breakfast 👌 with lots of fruits. Very polite and helpful. Good location, 1 km from the rock palace.

The neighbors who are playing very loud music. Minor things i did not like. Personally, i felt how it almost ruined the whole nature vibe atmosphere. It is fine for people who are in to noises other than truly appreciating the birds around chirping, bees buzzing, wild animals like elephants roaring, and the best part is hearing the flow of the water from a small creek/river in front of the room. When you are inside the room, it is very serene and peaceful. It gets quiet after late night and into the morning.

The location is wonderful. The family are warm, friendly, and helpful. There are so many trails that people could explore and visit different villages who are serving good food. Authentic Sri Lankan local food! Just be careful of the wild elephants roaming around at night.

We loved this place so much, it was clean, comfortable and spacious. Also our room was facing the river and we could always watch the monkeys and peacocks in the trees and the fireflies at night. It was amazing!! The animals can be quite noisy tho but if that doesn’t bother you and you love the sounds of the jungle you will love this place. Besides that it’s super close to Lion Rock, restaurants and markets. The hosts are also very very nice. Super nice and friendly family always ready to help and make our stay as comfortable as possible. I truly recommend this place!!

The family were some of the kindest people we have met! So helpful with local recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Collected us from Habarana train station too! The room was large and comfortable, with tea and coffee provided. Peaceful surroundings, just back from the main road and plenty of wildlife all around.

Out of the road noise but very close by. Lovely owners. Monkeys and peacocks around. Jungle feeling very close the transportation. This place is for travelers, not tourists !! Mosquitos and little insects as you are into nature, but comfy, quiet place. Loved the river on the back !!

The wifi didn’t work well, there was minimal water pressure and mosquitos were everywhere. Also sweeping and loud voices in the early hours of the morning woke us up everyday.

The location was excellent and staff were perfect. Breakfast was light but good quality and the greenery at the property was beautiful.

The staff were super lovely & accommodating. They arranged transport for us to go to Sigiriya rock at 5am! Breakfast was delicious & had a lovely view of the monkeys playing in the trees. Location was perfect as well - could walk to restaurants & was a 5 minute Tuktuk to Sigiriya rock.

The host and his family were very helpful and welcoming. The location was very good being close to the centre of Sigiriya but the accommodation was off the main road. It was also very quiet. Breakfast was good and was served in a tree house.

Room slightly damp with no natural light in the room or bathroom. Bathroom could have done with some br if their colours in the wall as it is all just bare concrete. Shower pressure non existent! Not hot water either but we don’t mind a cold shower.

Great location, owner very helpful and very friendly! Helped us with our tuk tuk and also provided his own tuk tuk service to show us some of the sights. nearby as it was raining. Exterior of the property is very nice.

Everything was good.

We felt like we were in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by lush vegetation, monkeys, peacocks high up on the trees, little chipmunks running around. There are plants and flowers everywhere, and there's a little river running at the end of the property. We woke up to the sound of the birds (and the peacocks). The family is very nice, they helped us with whatever we needed. The aboundant breakfast was served in a little treehouse. The room is simple but spacious, the bed is very comfortable. The place is very central, just minutes away from a great coffee shop (Barista) and a very cool restaurant (Rastarant) where you can enjoy your drink on a barge floating on the river. Sigiriya rock is a 15 mins walk.
