Maybe a slightly more of a range for breakfast, but we had was still delicious.

The staff, they were incredible and couldn’t have done much more for our stay. The hotel was lovely and the rooms were fantastic as was the pool. The hotel is a bit far from Hikkaduwa, make sure you don’t pay more than 700LKR for a tuk tuk there and back.

Garcinia Leaf was a gem. It is a beautiful hotel, set away from the busy main streets , instead it was an oasis nestled amongst beautiful trees and greenery, yet a short trip to the beach. The rooms were large and clean and the staff were friendly ,really helpful and responsive. The food at breakfast was utterly delicious and beautifully presented. The pool was gorgeous with a jacuzzi in one corner. All in all, a great stay

The wooden chairs near the pool were not in an optimal condition anymore

We received a very warm welcome along with some fresh juice when we arrived. Our room was very comfortable, clean and well maintained, along with the fact that it got maintenance every day during our stay (while we were out and about). Our hosts were always reachable and ready to help us with anything we asked. They even helped us rent a scooter at a very reasonable price. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and relaxed! The location is wonderful and dreamy with nature all around and you come across little delights like the way they present the towels etc. We were very happy with our stay and would love to come back one day!

The location is Little bit inside from the main junction road. Far for those who want to stay closer to the beach , but if you get a scooter 🛵 it works best . Otherwise we loved this offbeat lush green location .

The stay is just perfect , polite host, spacious room, nice pool area , welcome drinks, nice balcony, lots of cinnamon trees, just into the wild kind of ...love the Greenery. Those who love being close to nature - this is it !

We liked everything about this hotel. Very spacious room,comfortable beds hot shower. Lovely terrace. Fantastic pool set in tranquil surrounds. Exotic birds in the grounds. We ate at the hotel which offered a well priced menu and the food was very good. We were initially concerned about how far from the beach it was but its only a 599/700 SLR tuk tuk ride and these are easy to find or thevhotel can arrange. The area around the hotel is quiet and very nice to walk around. If we return we would without doubt stay here again.

It is 15 min by tuktuk or 8 min drive if you're a local which makes it difficult to walk to places. If you book, then making sure you have your own transport or checkwith the property if they can taxi you to and from where you need to go.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We had a welcome juice and unlike other places could take card or cash. The jungle setting and location was quiet a d tranquil and I loved the surroundings. Birds, palm squirrels and the accommodation's dog added to the experience. The room was big and spacious with a back patio area to have drinks and look at the jungle. Tea and coffee and toiletries came with the room, toilet roll. Some places haven't so just thought it was worth mentioning. I loved the outdoor pool and the general outdoor area. I chilled with a book outside.

The bathroom cleanliness could have been a bit better, however it was above other places in Sri Lanka we stayed.

The hotel is very cozy and has a great design to it with an amazing jungle garden. Stuff was extremely friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Breakfast was superb and that was more than expectation. Pool location is good and if you need a bar there is a pool bar as well. If you want read books and stay calm after a heavy day in the sea with sun burn, this is the ideal place to rest.

Hotel Garcinia was an excellent piece of tranquility in a green environment. Manager Frank is a very friendly person who quickly responds and tries his best to fulfill all our needs. The bed was nicely decorated with rose flowers, and the room was clean and spacious. The food was delicious, but the available variations were limited within our package.

Very far out, up a long dark path no cars can fit so very hard to find if you do not know where you are going. No food available.

Lovely guy running this place, the food was so good make sure you eat chicken curry there at least one of your evenings!! bit out of the way but we liked that because Hikkaduwa wasn’t so much our scene, just rented a scooter easily. We were upgraded to the family room which was huge, did seem to get a lot of mosquitos in but was soon remedied with a mosquito net! Nice pool and in a quiet area to chill.

Far away from the beach but again, this place is not promoting the beach but the stay within. So I can really say I didn't like this fact but just sharing for others, if you are looking for a break where you wanna real, this is the place.

The place is ideal for hideaway breaks. Beautiful architecture is located in the middle of the cinnamon garden. The manager Frank was so friendly and very accommodating.

Nothing to dislike

I recently stayed with my family and it was a truly enjoyable experience. The place had a great atmosphere and the staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The highlight of our stay was definitely the pool, which we all loved. The overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel were impressive as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant stay.

The rooms are large, clean and fresh, and the setting is beautiful, high up amongst the sri lankan jungle with the lizards, the birds and the butterflies. Our host, Frank at Garcinia leaf looked after us extremely well, helping us arrange transport and anything else we needed. The food is local, simple and fresh, and the pool is a delight. When we stayed it was with other sri Lankans and no tourists in sight, which was lovely, but may be due to it's distance from the beach and town with requires a tuktuk ride each time as it is a steep 45 minute walk.
