I had an amazing stay at Green Escape Unawatuna! From the moment we arrived, the welcome was incredibly warm and helpful. The staff assisted us with our luggage and gave us a great tour of our room. The room itself was fantastic: the bathroom was top-notch, and the bed was super comfortable. We slept really well without any disturbances, unlike some other places in Sri Lanka. The breakfast was absolutely delightful, like a grand buffet with plenty of options. The pool was another highlight clean, warm, and perfect for a relaxing swim. The staff throughout our stay were consistently friendly and attentive. We also dined at their restaurant yesterday, and the service was outstanding. Everyone was smiling and super helpful. A special thank you to Tharushi, Sadew, and Oshadi for making our stay even more memorable! I highly recommend Green Escape Unawatuna for a fantastic stay!

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main road that runs along the beach front, Green Escape was the perfect oasis to explore the surrounding area. My family and I stayed in the family bungalow which was extremely spacious and had its own private courtyard for us to relax in. The beach was a short (5min) tuk tuk ride away and the pool was also very clean. The staff were always incredibly accommodating and helpful and the food was always freshly prepared and delicious, especially the Sri Lankan dishes although it also had a good selection of more western style dishes.

Bed was squeaky

Hotel was located about 15 minute walk from the beach or a five minute tuk tuk . Staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were great hot powerful shower , great swimming pool and had a pool table to play on We had 2 rooms one standard and 1 deluxe, I would recommend the deluxe. We had dinner one evening in the hotel because we were tired. We had a Sri Lankan curry next time I wouldn’t bother and I would venture out even if tired .

Everything, the place is a true paradise to escape. Not being the luxury type, everything was well maintained and well thought out to give the best retreat from everyday rush. Staff is very friendly, make their presence without being intrusive or boring. A short distance to the beach( by Tuk Tuk) and luxurious green all around

The room was actually a bit tight on space, there was a lack of space to place things, I.e. nowhere to really sit and get ready. Nowhere to put toiletries and things. The bathroom needed some attention, it smelt a bit and was quite mouldy - difficult because of the very humid conditions, I do understand. But a new bathroom or at least a very deep clean would have improved things. But I am being picky, the hotel was great and it was fantastic value - I would not hesitate to stay again.

The breakfast was great and very generous. The pool area was lovely. Lovely location tucked away from the hustle and bustle, very peaceful and quiet. But only a £1 tuk tuk ride away from amazing beaches and restaurants. The hotel looks authentically sri lankan. Beautiful terrace. The staff were very nice. Lots to do in the surrounding area.
