We had wonderful stay at the Green Glow Cottage. It was a wonderful experience to wake up with this fantastic view and meeting the welcoming hosts. They helped with organising trips to Diyaluma Waterfall, Tea Plantage and getting in and out the city centre of Ella. The food for breakfast and optional dinner was very diverse and always very tasty. We would recommend this place to everyone, who wants to have a wonderful experience in Ella. Many thanks again to the hosts!!

I honestly can’t say that.

This is a newly opened accommodation run by a very hospitable and helpful family. We were welcomed by perfect cleanliness and a pleasant scent when we entered the room. If you need anything, they’ll take care of it. The internet is fast and stable, which is quite rare in Sri Lanka. They also prepared a delicious, varied, and generous dinner for us at a very reasonable price.

This is the best place we’ve stayed at during our trip. It’s very well located near the center of Ella, but in a quiet area, and the views from the terrace are incredible. The room is super clean, very spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The lady who hosted us was lovely—she helped us with everything we needed from the moment we arrived. The breakfast she prepared was delicious, with a generous amount and great variety of food. She even welcomed us with an afternoon snack! We absolutely recommend this place 100%. Thank you!

the rental is not known yet by google or map.me, so make sure you put in the neighbors name if you are not picked-up. Just as every room in the world: I can always use more hooks to hang thing on.

despite the fact that host Oshadi and her family just started the room rental, it was an almost perfect stay: brand new, large room, perfect bed/mattress, thick towels, new and clean bathroom. there even was a hairdryer. we stayed 2 nights and they offered different things the second morning for breakfast. We came in for dinner one night & that also was very good. they understand the level of spicyness we can take! clean too: no belly troubles here! the food is served on the terras which gave beautifull views over the mountains, with opposite Little Adam's peak & you can see the train ridingthrough the vegetation. the surrounding is peacefull and quiet. They are all very friendly & helpfull. Dad drives the bus, but when home, he can drive you everywhere you wanna go, and if not Oshadi arranges both car and tuktuk drivers.

Nothing! they were so wonderful and everything was perfect

Super cozy, such a lovely family run hotel with such a beautiful view of the hills of Ella. They provided us yummy welcoming food and a delicious breakfast, and were always smiling and eager to help us. Their hospitality was unmatched and I cannot recommend this place enough. Their place is just a few hundred meters up the road from Eco Villages, just give them a call before you arrive and they can help you find it. Easily accessible by scooter, just off the main road. Can’t wait to stay when we come back again!

I had the most wonderful stay here at Green Glow Cottage in Ella. Doni -the owner- manages everything with so much heart, joy and true hospitality — you feel cared for from the very first moment. It’s clear that her guests really matter to her and her family. The location is absolutely stunning — surrounded by nature, with a small terrace overlooking the green hills in front of my room. I loved having the super tasty breakfast there while watching birds and local wildlife in the trees around me. This place is pure magic and peace. The room is spacious, very clean, with a super comfortable bed, a great bathroom with a powerful shower, and perfect WiFi. Everything was so cozy, I felt at home. The whole family helps out with so much kindness. There is a Tuk Tuk directly at the property, cooking classes, and many tips for nearby activities. It’s a beautiful 25-minute walk to Ella town or just 7 minutes by Tuk Tuk. The Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak are very close by. I recommend visiting the nearby tea factory and the Buddhist temple at sunset — unforgettable experiences.
