The room is basic but has great views of the paddy fields and has working WiFi. The host was polite and helped with getting tuk tuks. Meals (breakfast and dinner) were delicious.

I’ve rarely experienced such a wonderful and welcoming staff as I’ve seen it here. This family-run business (it includes all family members) has made our visit more than special. They’ve spontaneously prepared lunch for us when we arrived. It was stunning! Plus, on the last day, we wanted to visit some place in town, but the tuk-tuk did not arrive. This led to the family father to decide to drive us himself — and upon arrival refused to accept payment for this (we needed to insist a lot for him to finally accept). The rooms are very comfortable: very clean, warm shower, working AC and incredible view over the rice fields. Truly a unique experience here, can only recommend!

The room was amazing with a great view. Besides the view from the balcony, they had this amazing view from the rooftop which was great to watch the sunset.

Beautiful view across paddy fields. Relaxing, almost breathtaking. Such an amazing green. Fascinating watching the vast expanse of it and the people working on the land. Lovely big room, comfortable bed, excellent food. A real family place. The young son took great pride in serving us. Personal service at meal times. Delicious curries. Very little English spoken so gave one a real sense of being in a family home. Difficult to find initially as at the end of very small roads quite a way out of Anarhadapura. Great choice. Not far in a tuc tuc or on a bike.

The power was out when we arrived. It came back about an hour and a half later.

Convenient location if you plan to visit the ancient town. Room was clean, breakfast was delicios and the staff was nice and helpful. Beautiful view from the roof.

The family is so friendly and wants to help in each way thay can. The home made meal is excellent!! Very friendly staff!

Booked through booking.com received the confirmation . Contacted the owner through the and and local number . Advised we will be arriving late (11.30pm). Host advised it would okay and call upon arrival . We arrived at mid night but premises was closed and after many calls host answered . He told us look for somewhere else as he didn’t want to disturb his staff . We were stranded at middle of the night as we relied on Host instructions and booking .com confirmation . Host was rude ( asked if we were locals first - screening method )and advised he lives in Colombo and premise is managed by workers . It was a terrible experience as three of us were US and Canadian nationals and no where to sleep in middle of the night. Booking .com should remove these facilities based on their operating hours and have classification as local or foreign nationals as these premises practice discriminatory policies. Not recommended

Rude owner . False promises and didn’t care of customer well being

The view from the room was incredible also the airco gave us the comfort to sleep well. The breakfast was delicious en more than enough. We ate two times lunch here. Which we can realy recommend. The staff was friendly and helped us book a tour guide to visit anuradhapura. (his nale was Lalit. We could also recommend him). Further we could stall our tuktuk safe... So everything together we can only recommend this place! Don't forget to climb up the rooftop. The 360° view there is even more beatifull.

The bathroom was basic but okay and clean. A tool to remove the water from the bathroomfloor would be an upgrade. But that's litterly the only small point with possibility of improval.

Wonderful family run accommodation overlooking five fields. Viewing tower was excellent for photos. Staff ever so helpful.

Some parts of the building need upgrading, which is possibly on their plans.

Heaven Upon Ricefields was a true delight to visit. The view is spectacular!. The staff were very accommodating organising bikes, tuk tuks and dinner for us one evening. Close to all the sites in Anuradupura. Highly recommended!.

Exceptional accommodation. A little off, but still easy to find, and the location is absolutely relaxing, looking at rice fields (perfect rooftop view btw, too). very comfortable. The host is also very helpful and nice. Dinner and breakfast was delicious.

We had a great time there. The staff is very attentive and can help you to arrange anything you want. The room was big and the view was absolutely stunning. The rooftop is the cherry on the cake. You can see beautiful sunrise and sunset from there.

The service was great but I highly recommend the staff to ask beforehand if the customers have any allergies to prevent waste.
