Beach furniture could use some maintenance. Surf shop only offers lessons in Russian.

Great location the beach. Much quieter beach area than Weligama Beach, yet still close to there. Pool was nice. Shaded beach spots provided. Our initial room had a lot of bugs and the staff immediately moved us to a different room no problem - new room was all good.

The surfing instructor was only Russian speaking on the one hotel, but it didn't matter the best ones ärr to find outside on the beach by locals

No options for vegetarian food availability. No HOT water available for bathing during our stay. Beach side limited arrangements for sitting.

Beach chairs were most broken and dirty. Breakfast area and beach front all need some TLC The water in front of the hotel is brown from the river. It’s ok but don’t expect a blue crystal clear sea.

Pool, clean big room. Good breakfast and location. Great restaurant next door Reasonable surf for beginners. The best is in front of the Marriott.

Hit and miss on WiFi.

Great place, location of the hotel on the beach with the provision of a good size room which had a/c, ceiling fan and a fridge. Buffet style breakfast provided with a good selection of food . I highly recommend this hotel.

The hot water took a long time to heat up. Also, the hotel felt extremely clean yet almost abandoned with some furniture taped over in plastic and not a soul to be seen. Not that I used it but the pool needed a clean.

This place was quite an odd one. They were doing refurbishments on most of the property and there wasn’t a single other guest there aside from me but strangely they had a lot of staff cleaning the rooms so maybe lots of people just checked out. I had a good one night here with a goal to surf which was available right outside the hotel on the beach. The rooms were spotless and large with a balcony. Despite an abandoned feel I felt safe as a sole female traveller.

The resort was so good, way past what we expected. Rooms were spacious and clean, food was super and really affordable! Staff were lovely and always willing to help, it's right on the Weligama beach which was amazing. Highly recommend.

+ : - We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but we finally stayed 4 nights. The whole hotel team makes everything possible for you to have a good experience and adapt if needed, it's highly appreciated ! Thank you all ! - Specially loved the balcony room with the ocean view and the beginner surfers just in front all day. Literally ten steps away from the front beach. Nice sunset also ! - You can let your surfboard inside the hotel and there is an outdoor shower when you come back from the ocean.

This is my second stay at this hotel and will definitely come back again. It is 3 star, but the owner mr. Jagath and his wife doing their best to make it more. The rooms and territory and the poor cleaned all the time. The staff is very welcoming… right in front of beach… no reefs on this part of ocean and it’s safe to swim. In front of the hotel there is surf rent and school. The breakfast always full of fresh fruit (pineapple mango banana and more) also they offer transfer and different tours at good price

The Air Conditioners (Inverters) are installed in the corridors, which generate much heat. There were many dogs in the Reservation Room, which gave out a bad odor. No reception. Dangerous slippery step (Slope) to go down to the beach.

The facility is crumbling down, and it is evident that there is absolutely no money spent of fixing the place. Showers heads are clogged and there is no pressure. Rooms gets flooded when it rains. The Wi-Fi is barely working (when it connects). There are old broken sunbeds on the beach and at the pool. There is a surfing school as part of the hotel, but they only speak Russian.... Luckily, there are 2 schools next door. In summary, you can get better value for the same price in the hotels around.

Staff is nice and the location is nice and quiet away from the noisy and crowded Welligama. There are nice small waves for beginners' surfers. The restaurant next door is very nice and good. There is a buffet breakfast with lots of fruits, but there are not many options, and it is the same every day.
