The check-in and check-out were not really that professional. We had booked a room for two adults and a 12 year old child. However, when we checked in, we were told that we had to pay USD 50 extra per night for the child as she is a above 11 years old. Whereas that may be the policy of the Jetwing Lighthouse, this is of course not correct when we booked indicating the correct age of the child (at the time of arrival). However, a pleasant supervisor was called, and she confirmed we only had to pay for the extra bed we requested (USD 15 per night). At check out, the 15 % discount on food and drink that we were promised via Booking.com had not been calculated. So we also had to say that. Luckily, we had the same pleasant supervisor who gave us the discount. Not on alcohol - not an issue for us as we had hardly had any but it could be for other guests so maybe the hotel should specify better on Booking.com. When we arrived, we didn’t get any drink (we got drinks on arrival every other place, no matter how simple). When I asked later, I was told it was an error and some were brought to our room. Shortly after booking, we asked via Booking.com’s messaging system for an extra bed. We never got an answer. Also not so professional.

This hotel stands out for its architectural elegance and thoughtful design. The welcome with king coconut water was a refreshing touch after arrival. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and equipped with excellent amenities. Its commitment to sustainability is impressive—arguably one of the best I've seen. I stayed in a sea view room, which was fantastic. It was just after the full moon—clouds moved across the sky, occasionally letting moonlight shine through. The atmosphere was serene, and I deeply enjoyed the solitude. There are two swimming pools: one ideal for families, and another 25-meter lap pool that I especially appreciated—something I’ve rarely seen in hotels. Swimming there while listening to the crashing waves and watching them break into white foam was a unique experience. The staff were warm and professional. Dinner and breakfast were both sumptuous and very well arranged, offering a wide variety. Overall, this was a memorable stay—one of the best in recent years. I definitely plan to return for a longer visit.

Excellent location just 2.5kms from the centre of Galle town. Excellent rooms with wonderful view of the sea and the sunset is perfect too. If you are lucky you can even spot turtles in the sea from the property. Extremely friendly and gracious staff. Highly recommended for families

The hotel is a little bit old. I think the size of the rooms are good but they need a renovation. There is no elevator and it sometimes becomes little bit tiring to reach to the room at the third floor.

The breakfast was good, with many different international and local tastes. There could be more content in terms of fruits and honey. But overall breakfast quality and content was good. The room and the view was also good. This location is very close to the sea and you can enjoy the breeze from the sea with a great view and sound of waves. The restaurant is located on a very good place and room service is fast.

not a complaint, its mentioned a lar cart and buffet during breakfast time, I was requesting egg Benedict, it's kinda complicated for them first of all, cuz I only want to eat that, but I decided to cxl and have buffet, it looks trouble for the Fnb team, but later on they bring me egg Benedict (Jetwing style one) which I'm really appreciate.

I think it was a little overpriced. We were forced to take 2 rooms for a family of 4 as our kids are older than 12 when we could have fitted into 1 room.

Some touts wait near the beach and keep checking inside the property needlessly. They claim to show turtles and ask for money, specially from families with kids. Not a problem tbh, but can be discouraged.

Stunning beachfront property in Galle, our room was in the luxury spa wing which is right next to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our 2 kids had a wonderful time collecting shells, playing in the pools. The beach isn’t the best for swimming (unlike Hikkaduwa or similar beaches) but good enough for a quick dip or for simply relaxing. We were lucky to spot turtles every single day we were there! Rooms were spacious and brightly coloured doors / windows was a refreshing sight. The food buffets had the usual good spread but hopper counter can have a queue in the morning. Pizzas at Lorenzo were wood fried and we enjoyed it. Overall, we had a wonderful time here and would definitely plan to come back in future.

There is no beach, the water front looks beautiful but the reef and the rocks makes it very dangerous to even consider a dip. Some of the staff seems untrained and guessing these are temp staff to cover for the busy seasons.

Good well maintained hotel, closer to the gall fort so it’s a short 10mins drive away or the similar via a tuk ride. Staff were always friendly and helpful greeting everyone with the customary “ayu bohovan”, translated to “bless you with long life”. Excellent choice of food during the buffet with some delicious local as well as continental food choices.

Excellent hospitality. The staff went over and beyond to make us comfortable. Beautiful resort - right on the beach, excellent facilities. Very vegan friendly. We were a family of 4 vegans that had the most delicious food for literally every meal here. The chef called us personally on Christmas Day to tell us that the Christmas Buffet would not have too many vegan options, so he would arrange for a special vegan meal for us at a different restaurant in the resort. The highlight of our trip was the market visit and cooking demo with Chef Navin, where we made a huge Sri Lankan meal and 2 desserts with locally purchased produce, all vegan of course. An unforgettable experience!

The property is a little old. We first stayed on a suite and that was fabulous. We then shifted for a day to a lower category room and that had cockroaches. I hope the staff and management look into these aspects to maintain this beautiful property
