The rooms are quite dated, needs a bit of work done to the walls which are peeling off, the curtains don't really function, especially with glass in the door without a curtain so sleeping beyond 6am is pretty tough, and the kitchen directly above means you can hear every noise from that time with tables being moved etc. Also the breakfast is a bit average, and no water or fresh juice at all which was unusual in our experience.

The most amazing view, absolutely beautiful. The staff were very friendly and the owner helped us arrange a few tours, both were excellent and cheaper than we'd found elsewhere. Near restaurants, near the lake. It IS good value.

Nothing was bad, however they are building a new house right next to the hotel, so during the day it can get louder. Its allowed to clim uf to the roof of the nee building, where you have a better view of the sunset/rise.

The view was incredible! The views of the lions rock, espescially at sunset, is amazing! Also, the owner is a verry friendly man. He accidently gave us a false room, because of a misunderstanding during the booking process. However, he quickly resolved the problem snd gave us the right room. Also, he gave us a little present for the inconviniance and told us sbout everyday life in Sri Lanka. The hotel is nesr to all the restaurants.

Very kind host and even gave us a small farewell gift. He arranged a fantastic safari for us, which we can highly recommend to everyone. Thanks to his planning, we entered the park an hour before all the other groups and had the place entirely to ourselves.

The view here is exceptional especially from the breakfast terrace and the location is highly convenient. The rooms are great with AC, good WiFi and comfortable beds. The team are really helpful and ready to organise any additional requirements. We hiked Pidurangala Rock for sunrise and then on to Sigiriya Rock the same morning!

Positive: -Welcome drinks when we arrived which were very nice -Beautiful view of the Lion Rock -Friendly staff who rented us a bike for 2 days -Very comfortable bed and spacious room -Construction work going on the second day we were there and they moved us to a bigger room free of charge which we appreciated Less Positive: -Breakfast was average. The second day was nice but the other two mornings were very average. -Shower was lukewarm -WiFi was inconsistent Nothing to do with the hotel but there is an elephant riding safari down the road from where we stayed. The poor elephant is chained up and was clearly in distress when we walked past him one of the nights. Very upsetting to see. Please do not ride elephants when coming to Sri Lanka, and instead visit an ethical elephant rehabilitation centre or safari. Thank you!

The only small improvement we’d suggest is to have darker curtains, as it gets quite bright as early as 6 AM. But that’s just a minor detail.

We booked the air-conditioned room and enjoyed a fantastic view of Lion’s Rock. The entire property is in a quiet location, giving off a very relaxing vibe. The owner was incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. Through him, we also booked a safari at a very fair price. The breakfast was absolutely fine—plentiful and satisfying. No complaints at all! A nice extra was that we were allowed to use the owner’s fridge to keep our own drinks cool. Overall, we would definitely recommend this accommodation and would love to come back!

Lovely accommodation with amazing views across to Sigirya. Good location, close to amenities but also nice and quiet. Loved having breakfast with the sun rising on the rice fields and the beautiful view. They got up earlier for us on our last morning so we could have breakfast before getting picked up by our transfer which we appreciated. They also arranged the transfer for us which was a big help.

We had a very comfortable room with a nice balcony (Lions Rock view). The homestay is located quite centrally but still close to nature. The host is amazing! He is always up for a chat and provided support e.g. information to public transport schedules, scooter rental, Safari tours, ... Would definitely book it again!

We spent 2 nights in Sigi, at Kashyapa Kingdom View Home. The location is really good, just a 10’ walk from the rock & all the places you can reach in the village. The room was clean & had all the necessary. The breakfast was good & the staff were really kind. Also, the host was very kind & welcoming, made us feel like home. Can’t wait to go back someday!

Walking distance to restaurants, shops, bus stops, and to the Lion Rock. Quite spacious, comfortable room with nice small terrace with absolutely beautiful view on the Lion Rock. Breakfast could be traditional but it was tasty. Nice and helpful stuff.

We are two girls traveling Sri Lanka and we absolutely loved this stay in Sigiriya! It’s close to Pidurangala and Lions Rock and the Host was absolutely lovely. Service five star including Organisation of Transport and breakfast. The view was absolutely stunning, looking right at lions rock. We would definitely recommend this place!
