I was in a room that had an external bathroom and wasn’t aware of this. Was told I was the only one using it but a little inconvenient.

Location was good, close to beaches and restaurants. But in nature with monkeys to watch in the trees while sitting on the balcony. Owner very accommodating and helpful.

Although a lovely location there is a bar about 200m playing live music each night. I am a very light sleeper so it bothered me but not my partner.

Beautiful location in the forest, just a very short walk to the beach. Room with no A/C was a bit hot, and the fan was loud, but it was what we risked by choosing a non-ac room! Great value for money, excellent shower. I would stay again

Breath House Hiriketiya is the perfect place to stay if you want to be close to the beach while enjoying peace and comfort. The location is fantastic—less than a two-minute walk from the beautiful Hiriketiya Beach. The room was spacious, had great air conditioning, and was super comfortable. We also loved the well-equipped kitchen, which had everything we needed to prepare breakfast or lunch. The guesthouse is beautifully situated near a mangrove, adding to the serene atmosphere. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and always happy to help. Highly recommended!

I liked everything! Bring good earplugs though, because during my stay there was a party at the beach every night till 2am (it was on the weekends, so maybe that makes a difference). You can hear it in the whole town, so if you don't like that, don't go to Hiriketiya.

The cleanest hotel I stayed in! Comfy bed, spacious room, good wi-fi and great location. Also nice that there is a kitchen that you can use and a spacious balcony.

This was one of my favorite accommodations in Sri Lanka. The room was nice and clean and there is a big balcony and a kitchen guests can use. It’s only a very short walk to the beautiful beach and you can see a lot of animals on the way. The owners welcomed me with a juice and the communication was very good! I extended my stay twice.

My stay at Breath House was amazing! When I showerered in the morning monkeys would jump on the net keeping me company 😃 The location is great, a super short jungle walk from the Hiriketiya Beach. Everything is in walkable distance. The staff was barely there but always responded promptly to my messages and needs. I got clean sheets and towels when I prolonged my stay for the third time. The bed was very comfortable and despite the heat, the fan kept the room cool enough for me. I can only recommend this place and miss it already! Also the terrace is a big plus, you can hang your clothes to dry and sit outside in the evenings. There’s also a kitchen you can use. I loved the place. Thanks for everything!

its very very close to the best part of the beach (more quiet and great board hire and ocean entry point). it still feels inside the jungle. very quiet and very hospitable owner, also has tuktuk and will help with everything.

Great location next to the lagoon, just 350 metres from Hiriketiya Beach. It feels like you're properly in the middle of the jungle, with monkeys and bird sounds all around you, and you can watch monkeys playing in the trees. There's also a lovely big garden at the front and a large communal balcony to chill out on/dry washing. The rooms are spacious, with an outside bathroom attached. There's a nice relaxed vibe and the owner lives on-site, if you need him.

The owners are really nice people who live right next to the house and are always ready to help. We were welcomed with a delicious king coconut :) The room was fully equipped with everything we needed. The location is probably one of the best you can get in Hiriketiya: less than a minute walk to the beach and surf and also close to restaurants (you might want to bring earplugs because sometimes you can hear music from the bars. I am a light sleeper myself and wore mine and had no problems). If you are looking for a comfortable accommodation for a reasonable price I can highly recommend breath house!

Nice room with spacious bathroom. We enjoyed the location - it is in the middle of the lagoon with not that great road, but it has something special to it. The common area at the balcony has a stunning view of all the trees surrounding the house - it is really nice to spend some time just hanging there.

The humidity smell was strong. It is common in Sri Lanka, but here I had my windows open the whole night and could still smell it. Other than that, the room was really nice (but I stayed for just one night).

Really nice location and great common spaces in the first floor. The room was big and the bathroom was nice (but you have to go out of the room and through the hall to reach it, but not an issue). Mosquito net and fan for comfort at night. 3

Down a dirt track which was not lit for the evening, loud music nearby you could hear in the evening, loud noises in the morning from works to the house / next door. The doors from the room to the balcony were locked by a latch, I would have preferred a bolt to feel safer. Could be homelier

So close to the beach and restaurants, an ideal location. Clean and good value for money. Felt safe and secure here and great communication with the owner.
