This place is a gem in Kandy. Such a lovely lakeside place with a value of money. The host Patty and others were very generous, we had a lovely evening talking and sharing our cultures, food and drinks.We will stay here again.

Staff is really friendly and always available. Since one of the two days was my girlfriend birthday, they offered us the breakfast and, once we came back after dinner, they welcomed us with beers, music, some friends and a birthday cake! I would suuuper suggest this accommodation for your days in Kandy! By the way the location is wonderful!

we liked everything

We really liked the hotel. We had everything we needed: hot water, air conditioning, a comfortable bed. The hotel itself is very interestingly decorated, quiet and clean. If you have any questions about how something works, you should ask the owner. He is very attentive and friendly, will explain everything and help. The breakfast was super! The hotel is very conveniently located, next to the lake and not far from the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Wonderful view of the lake and the temple. We walked everywhere and did not need transport, the road from the center and from the temple is safe even late in the evening. It was wonderful to attend the ceremony at the Temple of the Tooth Relic early in the morning and to see the Esala Perahera in the evening. This is an unforgettable event and impression. We thank our hospitable host with all our hearts for a great stay, as well as for a nice gift that will remind us of Sri Lanka. We sincerely recommend it for accommodation.

It was hard to find the address, as it’s located behind a temple. I would suggest adding this detail to the directions to help guests find the property.

The room was large and clean and owners very friendly. They booked us tickets for perahera and have tours around and outside the city. We had a wonderful time and the view is fantastic. It's close to the city as well, just a 10 minute walk while still being very peaceful.

They don't provide breakfast, but the hotel location is close to Candy Lake, which is wonderful. The hotel is near the candy train station. I highly recommend it for travelers.

Affordable room, Excellent location near the lake and city centre, super helpful managers (thank you again for additional services like laundry, private taxi reservation), simple rooms but clean and comfortable . You can book there without a doubt! Maybe a shelf in the bathroom would be convenient as a small improvement .

We had a warm welcome, the staff were fantastic and arranged a brilliant day trip for us. The location was perfect, on the lake front close to the centre but peaceful. Our room with the bathroom was spacious, clean, comfortable. It was incredible value for money. We loved our stay.

Only the family room has air conditioning, the bathroom also has a window that faces the garden and little insects do manage to get in. Shower was a little confusing to use and there isn't a gap between the shower and toilet so the entire bathroom gets wet.

Great value for money stay next to the Lake - for what you're paying, this is an incredible deal. Staff were incredibly friendly offering bananas, cookies and tea. They were also really helpful with airport pickups from Colombo and local tours.

Nothing to dislike. As a point of reference for future bookers, there were no facilities to make drinks in the room (kettle, tea, coffee etc). It didn't matter to us, and we were offered a cuppa on arrival and didn't need anything when we left. The room we stayed in had no private outside space. Again, it wasn't a problem to us as we sat out in the front of the house enjoying the company of the people there. These are not negatives at all, just things that other people might find useful.

The location was within walking distance of the train station. A bit elevated so had a beautiful view of Kandy Lake. The property had lovely communal area/garden where you could sit and enjoy what was going on. The 2 brothers and extended family who were looking after the guest house were WONDERFUL. So helpful, genuine, welcoming with no agenda whatsoever. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure we had a good stay.
