The location is close to main road 50m..infront of a small lake which is full of birds early morning and evenings..close to beach 10min..tangalle city is just 5min..the owner and the wife are superly friendly and helpful..they treated me so warmly with delicious food..good breakfast..value for money. Definitely will go next time and recommend. Lots of optional activities are nearby..surfing ..tuk tuk rides ..wonderful 5nights spent there..😘

I had a truly wonderful stay at this accommodation! The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, and their hospitality made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The rooms were spotlessly clean and equipped with air conditioning, which made my stay very comfortable. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view of the lake – waking up to that every morning was simply amazing. I also really appreciated the delicious meals that the owner personally prepared for me – it was absolutely delightful and added a personal touch to the experience. The location was perfect as well: just a 5-minute walk to the bus stop and only 10 minutes to the beautiful Silent Beach. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place and would love to come back someday! 🌺

I absolutely loved the peaceful setting of Lake View Nest. It is a beautiful property nestled in nature with lovely views to a serene lagoon. Waking up with the sounds of different types of animals and the tranquility that this place offers was a magical moment. The location is perfect - far away from the main road and just 10 minutes walking to the stunning Silent beach. The room is huge and very bright with super comfortable bed including a big sofa, everything very new and modern. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Having conversations with the owner I learned many interesting things from this wonderful country. Thank you Randima and your family for your kindness and generosity. I truly recommend this lovely place.

Fernando and his family are so sweet! The guestroom is on the first floor with an amazing view over the lake and has plenty of space (indoors&outdoors). Everything was very clean (& had AC) and we were taken good care of. Sometimes we were even invited for tea and srilankan sweets! We liked to watch all the different animals from the balkony! There are several restaurants just around the corner which have amazing local food and the prettiest beach is just down the road! Apart from that the price was super fair. We would definitely come back any time! Thank you for the wonderful stay! ☀️

Great location! Walking distance to both amazing main beaches in Tangalle, and a couple great restaurants for awesome Sri Lankan food. Family of the home stay are very lovely and helpful :)

Most of all we had a great time due to the owners, Randima and Lakmini, they are so accommodating and friendly and really made the whole experience of staying in their home such wonderful one. They are both interesting people who are easy to talk with and gave us an insight into Sri Lankan life, politics, food, fauna and so much more! They told us of local events and parades happening, helped with logistics, and assisted us on so many occasions; they truly went above & beyond. Secondly the balcony is superb - it exceeded our expectations and although the lake is small it is brimming with wildlife and you get a great view of it all from the balcony (which is right outside the room). This was like a wildlife safari all in itself! If you’re into bird spotting, this place is a must 🦜 The room was truly huge, clean, spacious, the bed comfy. It is near enough to the main road for easy access but not noisy at all and you and can’t see the main road, while the walk up the track to the house in the dark is lit by fireflies. There are several shops and a good restaurant on the road, and the bus stop is very close for getting to the nearby towns, villages and beach stops.

It was a wonderful stay! The location is perfect and very attractive, just a short walk from the main road. The room is very clean and comfortable, nice friendly staff. Everything was seamless. If you are looking for a place with relaxing stay and excellent value for money this is the perfect choice

Host very helpful and friendly, gave lots of tips of things to do in the area and places to visit There’s also a resident peacock who makes many appearances

Had a great time at the Lake View Nest. The owner is very friendly and helpful, even for an errand I had to run that had nothing to do with the accommodation, and always available for a chat. The place is new, clean, and the bed is comfortable. The balcony is very spacious and offers a lovely view of the lake right in front of the accommodation. Not far from the beach, while still reasonable priced.

Loved the ambience of the room, the washroom is also clean and tidy. The view is beautiful. The owner was very sweet

They should put curtains on the door. Other than that it was great
