Road to hotel very short from main road or train station but last 2 minutes is really really steep like a hill climb if u have heavy luggage or any disorder dont think about walking also there is no Air conditioner in the room only have Air fan

Whilst the location is fabulous, it might not be super accessible for those with mobility issues (very steep hill and driveway!).

The staff were exceptional, especially Samasundara and we loved meeting & chatting with Lakshmi. They were flexible with our needs and understanding of late notice changes. Great location, just a short walk from Ella station and Ella town. There was a beautiful view from our room, and we felt relaxed immediately. The room was very clean.

I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella! Perfect location right in the Ella town but on a hill, so it’s silent. Very clean. Views from balcony were great. Comfortable bed and modern bathroom with hot water. Friendly staff. Also dining area is beautiful.

Great views from the balcony. Very helpful staff. It’s a bit of a steep climb up the Hotel but if you need to a tuktuk can take you up. Lovely to be just where it is so you get the benefit of easy access to town without being in the middle of it and the fantastic views.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Lakshmi was very warm and friendly and Sam was very knowledgeable about whole of Sri Lankan history, in which we were very interested. Very short walk into town (down hill). Excellent calf stretch getting back from town. Rooms have spectacular views!

The property is up a steep hill not an issue for us but just in case - our taxi couldn’t get up the last part.

Great location, comfortable rooms with great views. The owners are so helpful and arranged a great day tour for us. Nothing is too much trouble for them and Breakfast was great. A kettle in the room was nice - just ask if you need to get a hairdryer. A short walk (downhill) to get to the train station.

The last 25m up a 30 degree hill! Hard work but worth it.

It’s not too far from town but it’s at the top of a steep hill which was challenging even for Tuktuks. Still worth it though!

The staff were very warm, friendly and exceptionally helpful. They carried all our bags upstairs and brought us pots of delicious Sri Lankan tea to have on our balcony overlooking the most picturesque view of Ella encircled in mountains. The view from my balcony was sensational - I had room 305 - and 306 has the same view. The breakfast was amazing - the fresh house made coconut roti was delicious.

The whole package was fantastic. Sam, the manager was the most attentive person one could ask for and a wonderful sense of humour too. We wish had stayed longer but unsurprised to discover the hotel was full for rest of week.

Water pressure was very weak at times. Small things like heating up butter before serving for breakfast or using a seperate cutting board for fruits (i tasted garlic on the watermelon served) weren't done.

The view was amazing in a nice location. We’ve took a cooking class during the sunset - it was amazing experience. The tastiest carry is the be you make yourself with the help of the chef.

The last few metres are a very steep climb but manageable and worth it for the views and to be away from the busy main road.

Lovely comfortable room, hot shower, furnished private balcony, immaculate bedding and towels. Sam and his friendly team looked after us very well. Good location just above the town with views over the railway station and hills. Basic accommodation, excellent value for money.

Can be a little noisy at night, as bars on the main road blast music until late.

Very central location, on the top of a small hill and only few minutes walk to the main road. The view of from the balcony is really beautiful. Very clean room and really good value for money. We prolonged our stay there. We love Sam, thank you for being so kind and always helpful!

It’s up on a pretty steep road, a bit too dark at night, also if you need breakfast it needs to be booked in advanced.
