Everything was great! Mo and Lien are super kind and always attentive to help you and make your stay better. All the facilities were always clean, and they also had bicycles available, which was super useful to explore Arugam Bay.

Such a nice place to stay and rest, booked a 3 night stay ended up wanting to extend to 6 nights but they are fully booked and i sure do know why. Mo is just amazing, even 3 days after we left i asked a couple of transportation questions and he still answered me promptly! The space itself is nice and clean, comfy beds, and clean bathrooms. Breakfast was really good and im lucky enough to had a bbq night there. Recommend this place so much. Thanks Mo!

stood out the most during my 4-day stay here was the hospitality – Moh and Irfan are some of the warmest and friendliest hosts I’ve met. They made everything so easy and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The property itself feels like a little green escape in the middle of Arugam Bay. With so many trees around, it has a cool, garden-like vibe that immediately puts you at ease. Despite being right on the main street, the cabins feel peaceful and private, which is the best of both worlds. The place is spotless and well maintained, and the cabins are perfect if you’re looking for a quiet and comfortable stay. I really enjoyed the breakfast here, and the fact that bicycles are free to use was a huge bonus for getting around town. They also help organize surfing classes and safari tours, which made planning activities effortless. It’s a place I’d happily come back to, and one I’d recommend without a doubt to anyone visiting Arugam Bay.

That I stayed only 2 nights and that it was rushed tbh

Everything! The lil container double rooms were super cosy and homely. Super clean minimalistic furnishing, mad clean linen. Attached bathrooms were basic but adequate. The small hang out areas just outside the boxes were very personal. And the setting which beautifully binds the dry heat, the coastal energy and dry zone flora and the greens was just super nice and had its own charm. The complimentary breakfasts changing throughout the week were so so good and very filling. There are water filters there FOC, a shared kitchen you can cook in, a lot of hangout areas and settings to mingle in, and bicycles you can take and go for a ride on FOC which I thought was fantastic! The banter at the breakfast table was refreshing. Overall the place was super cosy, inviting and endearing. Very very zen! Loved it. Also the owner of the property was always around and was super helpful too. Definitely one of the most pleasant stays in A'bay for me! The property actually looks and feel so much better than what's shown in the pics.

This hostel is beyond perfect- starting with the lovely owners to cleaning- everything is perfect. It is definitely the best place to stay in arugam bay. We will miss this place so much!!!! 🥰

We were in a group of 8 friends. We booked two 4 bed dorms on booking.com. When we arrived to the hostel we have one 4 bed dorm and our other friends were split between 2 other dorms. When I asked the staff about this, and showed what I had booked I was told ‘that’s not how hostels work’ and he did not offer to change the rooms even though that is what we booked.

Property was in a good location, a short walk from the town. The beds were comfortable and everyone had their own locker that locked. The bathrooms and showers were clean. There is breakfast included in the booking which is different every morning and is nice.

Very relaxed atmosphere in a very clean room. Silent AC, delicious breakfast which changes daily. Hosts go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. Good place to meet people, with plenty of opportunities to have some time by yourself.

Little Lagoon Hostel was the perfect mix of relaxed hostel energy and couple-friendly comfort. The vibe was amazing – social yet peaceful. Huge thanks to Mo, an incredible host who made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was great, and the staff were super accommodating throughout. Would definitely come back!

Nothing it was great

This is a great hostel, I absolutely enjoyed my stay. It’s not a party hostel but is social. It’s about 10-15 min to walk so you aren’t in the main crowded area of the street. They also have free bikes to use if you don’t want to walk. The rooms were very comfortable and the AC was good. They have lockers. & the door to your room also locks, it’s very very safe. My dorm didn’t have curtain but I think the other rooms do. WiFi is also very good if you need to work online. The free breakfast is delicious and changes everyday. The staff is very very nice & helpful. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a chill & relaxed hostel.

A cozy, stylish, and clean place with a lot of character. Plenty of outdoor space to relax and chill. Comfortable beds for a peaceful sleep. The owner and staff are very friendly (especially Ifran, who I particularly liked). Free bike rental is a huge plus for me, as you can explore the area without constantly paying for a TukTuk. Everything is within walking distance, and the beach is just around the corner. I really appreciate the kitchen for cooking, the fridge, the recycling system, and also their rich breakfast with fresh fruit every day and a varied menu – everything is very tasty. The hostel offers partnerships with surf schools at great prices, as well as safari, transport, and other activities. You can tell they do it with love, and if I’m ever back in Arugam Bay, I’ll be happy to return here. I extended my stay because it really feels like home.

Comfortable air conditioned room. Host was very helpful with planning activities in the town. Other guests were very friendly. Fresh water refill available for free - the first time I'd experienced in Sri Lanka! Right at the end of the beach, however, free bicycles are available to help make your way around Arugam Bay. Breakfast is buffet style, which means it's great if you're the first one there, but not really good if you're sleeping in or doing an early morning surf.

I had a wonderful time at the Little Lagoon. The breakfast is amazing. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the owner Mo is very helpful and caring, when it comes to recommendations and organization of trips. I’d love to come back :)
