The luxurious room and shower facilities were exceptional. The view of the nearby waterfall was excellent. And the breakfast was varied, hearty, and delicious! Saman (and his wife) was an excellent host and I can’t recommend this accommodation enough! Excellent attention to detail in the decor, and super modern. Everything was very clean. The view from the room is sublime of the nearby waterfall. Breakfast was really delicious and generous - we stayed two nights and had two different breakfasts - both great made by Saman’s wife. Saman is available for day tours in his tuktuk, as well as picking up from town centre or dropping into town as well. You can also walk along the railway track into town in 20 mins - it’s a great location. The best place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka - don’t hesitate to book!

Amazing modern room with beautiful views of the waterfall. Situated close to Ella centre, which is only 4 min by tuktuk. The host picked us up from the train station and provided tuktuk services when needed. The service and kindness of the host was exceptional! The breakfasts which were served on the balcony with a great view were delicious and plentyfull! Wish we could stay here longer! The value for money is great!

It’s not easily accessible and the road leading to the home stay is quite steep and narrow. Nevertheless, they are always around to give you a lift with their tuk tuk.

The view from the room is breathtaking. Breakfast at the balcony with the waterfall view is superb. The overall service is good and there’s a lot of privacy as you get the room all by yourselves. Everything else is new and well maintained.

The location was not easily accessible, prepare for a longer walk!

The owners were really nice, the view was amazing and the bed was soo comfortable. The breakfast was more than enough for 2 people and was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here!

Nothing it was perfect.

We had an amazing stay at Lush in Ella, the views from the room are incredible and the room is beautifully decorated and very clean. Sanju and Saman were very welcoming and severed lovely breakfast every morning on the balcony. The accommodation is not in the loud centre so they provided a tuk tuk ride for a very reasonable price. It is also a 15 minute walk along the train tracks into town. I would highly recommend staying here, you won’t regret it. One of our favourite stays in all of our travels!

Incredible views, very comfortable modern accommodation, felt like an oasis away from very loud busy Main Street in Ella. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfasts were delicious and varied daily. Ask the hosts for tuktuk number to get to and from town (only about 5-10 minute drive or 30 minute hilly walk)

This place is incredible :) our best accomodation in Sri Lanka. View is spectacular, we can see Ravana waterfall from bed. Room is very clean, cosy, owners thought about everything: hot shower, fridge, cool glasses and water, shampoo and shower gel, we can use even hairdryer here! Tasty, local breakfast, juices, coffee. Very kind and helpful owners, we felt very comfortable and spent fantastic time here. Highly recommend! Thank you for having us 🌸

The reasons why we give only 9 out of 10 points are 1. the dampness of the room that we couldn't get rid off (to be fair, it also rained heavily on one of our days). All of our clothes were quite damp after our stay. 2. the water pressure was extremely low in the shower. After all the hiking in Ella, a nice relaxing shower would have been the cherry on the top. Also we once found a leech in the shower. 3. Not enough storage to hang clothes or towels. 4. at night, the dog (albeit cute) often scratched and digged at the room windows (first time we were terrified as we didn't know which animal it was and only after asking the owner told us that he had a dog). 5. Because of the location one is kind of dependend on tuktuk transfers by the owner which are 500 LKR each way - however, it was really nice of him to offer this service!

Really beautifully designed room with the most stunning view! The owner is super friendly and took us back and forth with his tuktuk. The breakfast (hoppers in particular) was outstanding. We had a wonderful stay and can definitely recommend!

The owners Saman and Sandive were very welcoming. They made sure that everything in the room was ready before our arrival. Both are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was just amazing, spotless clean, you can definitely sense the attention to every detail. The location is great, quiet and peaceful, surrounded by trees all around. The view is spectacular, you can see the waterfall and hear the sound of running water from distance when lying in your bed, just a wonderful scene to wake up to. Saman prepared a delicious breakfast and delivered it to the room by herself just to make sure that we do not need anything else. This was by far one of the best places we have been to in Ella. We would definitely book that place again on every trip back to Ella. We highly recommend this place.

Water pressure is not the best, but it works and did not take away from the great experience. I had to figure out how the heater works, so I will share it for new visitors: Push the bottom button to turn on the heater; then turn the knob to set the temperature. Open the shower tap. Push the pump button for more pressure; then turn the top knob to set the pump pressure. I set it to maximum temperature and pump level 3 to get a pretty good, even 38-degree shower.

Gorgeous place, so modern and the view's amazing! Felt so comfy and relaxed after that long drive. Peaceful and quiet, but just a 15-minute stroll to Ella town. The host was super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. She even packed us an awesome breakfast to go when we had to leave early for our train!

The shower head could have been a little bigger but that is the only thing! Everything else was perfect.

The location was lovely, across from the waterfall, and close to the start of Ella Rock trail. If you want a little secluded cabin in the wilderness, this is the place. We had incredible breakfast every morning, and they were so helpful and provided transport to town whenever we wanted. The service was outstanding and always with a smile! Highly recommend this place.

It was a bit tricky getting our luggage from the main road down to the villa but the villa provided tuk tuk transport which did the trick.

The villa was perched on the side of a mountain with magnificent views of the valley and waterfalls. The location was quiet and very connected to the local community. Our host, Saman, was incredibly attentive.

Its an awesome new House with a lovely view. We liked it alot and enjoyed the quiteness. To the busy town of Ella its just a short walk along the railway. The breakfast was also the best what we got during our stay in Sri Lanka. We got also a small visitor everyday. I Hope he will like the new guests too 😅

We stayed here for 2 nights during our visit to Ella. If travelling by car best to leave it further up the access road and quickly walk down to the property as its rather tight. We were greeted by our wonderful host Saman who made us a refreshing fruit juice on arrival. We were then shown to our room, a purpose built unit a quick climb up a stone path. What fantastic room with an incredible view! It was beautifully designed and kitted out with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Saman brought us breakfast to eat on the balcony in the morning which was very tasty and we even had a show from a family of monkeys in the trees next to our room. We walked into town using a shortcut along the railway track which took us under 20 minutes. Overall it was an amazing stay in a great room with a friendly host.

Serene environment, top quality service from the lovely owner, the room was immaculate with everything we needed and very picturesque. The host even provided us with tea, water and laundry service. Possibly the best place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka, and do not be put off by the negative reviews regarding the driveway, it is easy via Tuktuk and worth it for the views and privacy. Their tuktuk shuttle is free and available 24/7 - thank you again for a wonderful stay ❤️ the best place to eat is Ella Siyapatha Hut Restaurant. This was the most authentic meal we had that was cooked by the gorgeous family. Truly an amazing experience if you’re in Zella
