Really a good place to stay. The owners are very kind and friendly. They provided us with very good service. The breakfast is also very tasty. The room is very clean and fresh. Very worth the price. Really a good and reliable place to stay.

Brilliant stay with Mahesh and his lovely family in Galle. Room was spotless with a posh, hotel-standard bathroom—proper plush towels and all that. Because it’s on the top floor, it feels like you have your own space. They greeted me with a cuppa, sorted me out with local tips, then invited me to join their kottu dinner (absolutely delicious). Breakfast was outstanding, too. Felt more like staying with friends than a booking. If you fancy a bit of luxury without losing that genuine Sri Lankan warmth, this is the one.

I had the most wonderful stay at Mahesh Home Stay in Galle! From the warm hospitality to the clean and comfortable room, everything exceeded my expectations. Mahesh and his family were incredibly kind and helpful, making me feel right at home. The location is perfect for exploring the city, and the peaceful surroundings made it a perfect retreat. It looked exactly like the photos in the description. Ideal for solo travellers or a young couple. It's close to the town, with a bus route just 10 meters away. Had a home-like experience and found it to be great value for money.

Nothing i didn't like- I'm a 60yr old, and know that steps up don't suit everybody- but otherwise perfect. 👌

Perfect location Top class host family Very good value for money Mahesh was a great tuctuc driver and brought me to all sites I wanted and more👌 Wife & daughter very welcoming, and cooked a lovely dinner and breakfast- top class 👌 Facilities were new and other than kinda steep stairs to 3rd floor- were excellent. Its just a 1 double bedroom on 3rd floor of their residence- and if yer lucky to get it, you will enjoy. Hot shower/WiFi etc. Short walk from fish market, i actually walked from Dutch fort 👌 Would highly recommend...

Mahesh was the best host. The room was modern and clean. His wife brought me fresh juice every day. The food was more than enough, very versatile and delicious. He was always happy to help me with anything and his family was really sweet. You could walk 15min to Dewata Beach. I definitely recommend this place.

Amazing stay! The room was exactly as pictured—new, clean, spacious, with a spotless bathroom. All amenities were provided for a comfortable stay. The host and his family made our experience unforgettable. Despite our late arrival from Sigiriya to Galle, the host stayed in touch, reassuring us he would wait until 11 p.m. We arrived at 10 p.m. to a warm welcome. Originally booked for one night, we extended to two because we felt so at home. The host gave us a city tour and even dropped us at the railway station. Breakfast, prepared by the host’s wife, was delicious and a daily highlight. Highly recommend—wonderful experience!

Pressure in the shower was a bit low and could be better

The property is ideal for solo travellers or couples who're looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay. My room was on the top floor with a balcony and it is located couple minutes ride away from the train station. The hosts are extremely kind and the proprietor also offered to pick me up from Galle station to the property for no extra cost. They can prepare breakfast, lunch dinner, coffee also for you if you wish. Highly recommend this property!

The homestay is located quite far from Galle but is reachable by bus. We did miss some nice restaurants nearby. The area is mostly residential so there wasn’t much to do.

Super nice room! Modern and clean bathroom. You get the entire top floor of the building, it’s nice to have your own spot with balcony. Owners were super friendly! Breakfast not included but available at 1000rs per person. Was okey.
